Market GPTs
Objective: To learn about Generative Pre-trained Transformers (GPTs) and how they can be
used to create innovative and useful applications. (Value Innovation)

Part 1: Research and present GPTs

 A GPT is a custom version of ChatGPT that you can create for a specific purpose,
such as learning a new skill, playing a game, or making art. You can give a GPT
instructions, extra knowledge, and any combination of skills, such as searching the
web, making images, or analyzing data. You can also share your GPT with others and
use GPTs created by other people. You can learn more about GPTs from from this
blog post by OpenAI, the company that created ChatGPT and GPTs.

 OpenAI’s latest initiative, announced last week, is called OpenAI Data Partnerships.
This is a program that allows OpenAI to collect data from other organizations to
create artificial intelligence training datasets. These datasets are used to improve the
performance and capabilities of ChatGPT and GPTs. You can read more about this
initiative from from this article.

 For this part of the assignment, you need to do the following:

o Find and try out three GPTs that interest you. You can use any of the free
alternatives to ChatGPT that can generate text, images, and other content
based on your prompts. Some examples are Bing, ChatSonic, and YouChat.
You can also use the links in the results to learn more about each alternative
and how to use them.
o Prepare a presentation to share your findings with the class. For each GPT,
you should include the following information:
 The name and description of the GPT
 The purpose and functionality of the GPT
 The instructions, knowledge, and skills that the GPT uses
 The benefits and challenges of using the GPT
 Your personal experience and feedback on the GPT
 A demonstration of the GPT in action (optional)

For this part each group to bring their presentation to class on Saturday 25th
November.

Part 2: Design and market your own GPT

 For this part of the assignment, you need to do the following:
o Think of an idea for a GPT that you would like to create and use. It can be
related to your personal or professional interests, hobbies, goals, or problems.
 It can also be inspired by existing GPTs or other applications that you use or
know of.
o Write a brief proposal for your GPT, describing the following aspects:
 The name and description of your GPT
 The target audience and use case for your GPT
 The instructions, knowledge, and skills that your GPT will need
 The expected outcomes and benefits of using your GPT
 The potential challenges and risks of creating and using your GPT
o Create a marketing plan for your GPT, outlining the following steps:
 How will you test and validate your GPT idea and prototype?
 How will you promote and distribute your GPT to your target
audience?
 How will you measure and improve the performance and satisfaction
of your GPT users?
 How will you monetize your GPT or generate value from it?
o Prepare a presentation to share your idea with the class

Part 2 is due 2nd December to be presented in class. Powerpoint presentation of 15 minutes
