Essential and Non-Essential Amino Acids Found in The Body

Protein is a very large nutrient made up of smaller substances called amino acids. There are
20 different amino acids found within the human body and only 11 of them are non-
essential. The term non-essential means the amino acids are produced by the body, hence
they are not essential to the diet. The other 9 amino acids are essential and they can only be
obtained through diet.

amino acids.
