At one session two years

ago, we spoke with a
group of officers about
ways to improve their development team #14
comfort and safety while
on the job. One topic of conversation was the aged BDU. The
team discussed ways to improve the old BDU. By the end of the
day they had a clear plan and the seeds were planted for the
new 5.11 TDU ™ (Tactical Duty Uniform ™ ).

What improvements did the group want to make to the BDU?

On the pants, get rid of those metal buckles on the sides and
make the cargo pockets more functional and practical. And
on the shirt, they asked to add our patented hidden document
pockets. Then they added a bi-swing shoulder for a full range
of motion, which adds comfort and functionality. We listened to
their advice and created the TDU with 5.11’s traditional features
like added bartacks and triple-stitching. Turn the page to learn

ahead of time (muzzle velocity, the bullet’s ballistic coefficient, bore height and zero range). Second, punch in the environmental data when you’ve taken up a shooting
position (temperature, elevation, wind speed and direction). Then add the inclination angle and finally the range-to-target data. Once this information is entered, the
calculator gives you a shooting result in MILS, TMOA or SMOA, or can be displayed in actual clicks based on scope type.

an emergency or call-out vest. For emergency or call-

MCV comes with four Back-Up Belt System ™ pouches
and is compatible with the complete BBS ™ system
