Anokhi is an Indian retailer brand based in Jaipur, Rajasthan. They


deal with various products ranging from textiles, clothing,
furnishings, along with accessories. The main line of business is
textile and clothing. The art and craft techniques enrooted with
traditional culture is the highlight of the brand, which they
incorporate in their products. They basically focus on rejuvenating
and strengthening the Tradition Indian culture as well as to thrive the
craftsmen involved in the process.

OPERATIONS
In the beginning, they focused on hand-block printing technique
which is an eco-friendly way to print to on textile. The hand block is
carved out of wood and then, it is dyed with organic natural dyes,

natural farming community.

Fabindia is an Indian Brand, which is celebrating rich culture and


heritage of India from past 50 years that’s why the name is
“FABINDIA.” It is India's largest private marketplace for products
manufactured with traditional techniques, skills, and hand-based
processes. Their products are organic, non-toxic, and cruelty-free.

abilities of traditional weavers and dyers from around India with
those of the studio's craftsmen. They bring a wealth of knowledge
that has been passed down over several generations. Eventually, this
will result in apparel and home décor that defy trend and seasons,
and will be passed down to future generations.

extinction. They felt the need to incorporate the traditional weaving

friendly and hand-woven fabrics using superior quality yarns that

trade practices which socially and ethically makes a brand
responsible and sustainable. From start to finish, handwoven fabrics
leave only a minimal carbon footprint and return to the ground after
use.

The LEED green certified facility is completely solar powered and


1000 trees have been planted with the goal to make it a holistic
campus for handloom weaving. Their working space is originated in a
village so that they can employee more and more rural people. By
employing people of mostly age 40-50, they’re breaking the norm
that says creativity can only emerge from young people.
