You have a ticket indicating a start time.This means that
you can begin your visit to the Rijksmuseum within this
frame. After your visit, you can view the permanent
collection, which is open until 17.00.
You can scan the ticket from a smartphone or tablet at
the entrance to the museum.
Once you have begun your visit, you may stay as long as
you wish.
Cashless
The entire Rijksmuseum is cashless (café, shop, etc.)
Opening hours
The Rijksmuseum is open 365 days a year from 09:00 -
17:00.
The Rijks Shop and Café are open until 18:00.
Please do not bring to the museum any large pieces
of travel luggage measuring more than 45x25x25
cm )including rucksacks, bags, and handheld or
wheeled cases’ or objects such as folding bicycles.
You will not be permitted to take them into the
exhibition, and we cannot store them in the
cloakroom.

The entire Rijksmuseum is cashless (café, shop,
etc.). You can only pay with digital resources such
as your bank- or credit card.
Opening hours
The Rijksmuseum is open 365 days a year from
09:00 - 17:00.
The Rijks Shop and Café are open until 18:00.
There is a free, guarded cloakroom located in the
entrance area where you can leave your bag,
umbrella, daypack or schoolbag. You may take a
small bag/handbag (maximum A4 size) with you into
the museum. The cloakroom will not accept travel
luggage, folding bicycles, musical instruments,
skateboards or similar items.
