Problem :

We have to design and develop an electrical circuit based on the load used in your home.

1. Have to calculate the total load which is used in your home. Ex. Fan, light, washing machine, fridge,

oven, television, and etc.

2. Have to design and simulate the circuit in PSPICE software.

3. Have to develop a hardware model.

4. Have to analysis the results for both of simulation and experiment.

Problem Analysis:

The task involves designing and developing an electrical circuit to manage and control various home

appliances' loads. The circuit needs to accurately simulate the load profile and provide insights into both
simulation and experimental results.

Load Calculation:

One of our group members, lives in a bachelor house. We calculate the loads of his house. In his
residential house, there are three bedrooms and one dynamic kitchen. In his house, we saw some
electrical components, such as,

1) Fan –> Amount: 3, Power: 85 Watt or, .08 kW

2) Light –> Amount: 5, Power: 20 Watt or, .02 kW

3) Blender –> Amount: 1, Power: 400 Watt or, .4 kW

4) Fridge –> Amount: 1, Power: 130 Watt or, .13 kW

5) TV –> Amount: 1, Power: 120 Watt or, .12 kW

Duration of the components when those are active,

1) Fans -> 12 hour

2) Lights -> 8 hour

3) Fridge -> 15 hour

4) Blender -> 20min. or .5 hour

5) TV-> 2 hour
Total loads,

1) For fans -> (3 × 85) =255 W = .255 kW

2) For lights -> (5 × 20) =100 W = .1 kW

3) For blender -> (1 × 400) = 400 W = .4 kW

4) For fridge -> (1 × 130) = 130 W = .13 kW

5) For TV -> (1 × 120) = 120W = .12 kW

Total Loads = 1.005 kW.

Unit Calculation:

We want to calculate total units for 18 days.

Formula: Consumed unit = Loads (KW) × Time (Hours)

Per day unit consumption:

1) For fans -> (.255 × 12) Units = 3.06 Units

2) For lights -> (.1 × 8) Units = .5 Units

3) For blender -> (.4 × .5) Units = .2 Units

4) For fridge -> (.13 × 15) Units = 1.95 Units

5) For TV -> (.12 × 2) Units = .24 Units

Total Units = 5.95 Units.

Unit consumption of (18 ) days:

= (18 × 5.95) Units =107.1 Units

Total Electric bill for (18) days:

The bill for 1 Unit is (7) TK

Total bill = ( 7 × 107.1 ) Tk = 749.7 Tk.

Answer = 749.7 TK

Conclusion:

Designing an electrical circuit for home load involves a systematic approach encompassing load
calculation, circuit design, simulation, hardware implementation, and result analysis. Addressing
challenges related to accuracy, safety, and component selection will contribute to the successful
development of a functional and safe circuit that accurately reflects real-world performance.
