Rotary Regenerative Air Preheaters especially of the Ljungstrom design play a very
important role in improving the fuel efficiency of the modern thermal power plants and
furnaces in the process industries. Approximately for every 20 deg C drop in the flue
gas temperature in air heaters the fuel efficiency of the steam generator goes up by
about 1%. This results in very high fuel savings. Further there is a considerable
reduction in auxiliary power consumption if the heaters are kept well maintained. The
cost of critical spares is recovered in a few months of operation.
Lungstrom heaters also find application in Gas-Gas heat transfer duty in flue gas de-
sulphurization process with corrosion resistant and special materials.
4. Heat Recovery: The regenerative nature of the APH allows for efficient heat
recovery from the flue gases. By transferring heat from the outgoing flue gases to the
incoming combustion air, the APH minimizes heat losses and maximizes heat
utilization, increasing the overall thermal efficiency of the system.

Electrostatic Precipitator
Many countries around the world, including our own, depend on coal and other fossil
fuels to produce electricity. A natural result from the burning of fossil fuels,Particularly
coal,is the emission of fly ash, Ash is mineral matter present in the fuel. For a
pulverized coal unit, 60 -80% of ash leaves with the flue gas. Historically, fly ash
emissions have received the greatest attention since they are easily seen leaving
smokestacks.
Electrostatic precipitators are not only used in utility applications but also other
industries (For other exhaust gas particles) such as cement, pulp & paper,
petrochemicals, and steel (sintering plant).
We, at HARIHARAN power offer a total solution for improving the collecting efficiency

matter is removed from the gas stream before it is released into the atmosphere. The
high collection efficiency helps industries maintain emission standards, avoid
penalties, and minimize environmental impact.
4. Cost Savings: By removing particulate matter from flue gases, ESPs help reduce
the potential for equipment fouling and abrasion, which can lead to maintenance and
operational issues. Additionally, ESPs can enable the recovery of valuable materials
from collected particulate matter, such as fly ash, which can be utilized in various
applications or sold as a byproduct, providing potential cost savings or revenue
generation opportunities.
6. Long Service Life: Well-designed and properly maintained ESPs can have a long
service life, providing continuous particulate control over an extended period. This
reduces the need for frequent equipment replacement and can result in long-term cost
savings for industries.
It's important to note that the specific value of an electrostatic precipitator will depend

CSR stands for Corporate Social Responsibility. It refers to a company's initiatives and
activities that aim to have a positive impact on society, the environment, and various
stakeholders beyond its core business operations. CSR activities are voluntary actions taken
by companies to address social and environmental issues and contribute to sustainable
development.
Here are a few examples of CSR activities that companies often engage in:
4. Ethical Business Practices: Adopting ethical business practices and promoting responsible
supply chains is an important aspect of CSR. This includes ensuring fair labor practices,
respecting human rights, eliminating child labor and forced labor, and supporting fair trade.
5. Diversity and Inclusion: Promoting diversity and inclusion within the workplace is another
CSR focus area. Companies can strive for equal opportunities, create inclusive work
environments, and support diversity initiatives within their industry.
It's worth noting that CSR activities can vary widely depending on the industry, size of the
company, and the specific social or environmental issues that the company wishes to address.
CSR is a way for companies to go beyond their financial objectives and contribute positively
to the world around them.
