Britishness (recap)

Brutishness is a very complex concept to explain. It is mostly defined through Stereotype, especially
through Stereotypes, especially form foreigners’ points of view (tea- bad food…)

Even though Scots, Welsh and Northern Irish are part of the UK, they sometimes have a feeling of
independence toward England. Yet, most British are prod of their tolerance and acceptance, freedom
humor and many other things that are part of what they have in common.

Britishness would be a state or a quality of Being British, a bases of their unity and identity (culture,
habits, behavior, symbols)

All in all, Britishness is a kind of cement. That binds and keeps everything together.

A jubilee is a type of anniversary to mark an important event, and the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee
celebrated 70 years of her reign. She was 25 when her father died, and she became Queen (1952).
She was the longest-reigning monarch in the history of the U.K.

In June 2022, there was four day long week end for people in the UK. The celebrations included the
Queen’s birthday parade, a live concert party, a baking competition and people encouraged “to plant a
three for the Jubilee” to ensure a greener future for the country.
