1. Why do you want to become a teacher?

There are reasons why I considered becoming a teacher; one

of them is because of my former chemistry teacher at Negros
Occidental High School (NOHS). She is the main reason I pursue
teaching, because back when I was in high school, I really hated
science subjects and used to skip classes when they were related
to science. As a result of my incompetence, my grades were
dropping, but luckily, I still passed with a satisfactory grade.
However, it all changed when I was in senior high. There is one
teacher who makes me love science, specifically chemistry. I was
amazed at how she makes it easier to understand the topic; that
was the moment I wanted to consider myself to be like her. I want
to become a role model for the student; I want to be the pillar
that makes their dreams come true. From that moment on, I
realized that anyone can be good at a certain subject with the
right technique and strategies from a teacher. Most importantly,
I do not want to break the chain of inspiring others; maybe if I
become a teacher someday, there will be one, hundreds, or
thousands of students I will inspire to become the best version
of themselves.

The other reason would be career development. As I passed the

chemical technician licensure examination, I wanted to do more
with my life, like have more achievements or credentials.

Finally, I do not want to be away from my loved ones because my

undergraduate course is not in demand here in Negros Occidental.
Most of the job opportunities are outside Negros Occidental.

2. What are the good characteristics of a good teacher that you think
you have? Justify.
I think I have a plenty of good characteristics of a being a
good teacher namely,
Knowledgeable: to become a teacher or being a teacher, it is
important to have a deep understanding of the subject matter.
Before I decide to teach, I really make sure to myself that I have
what it takes to become a teacher, by sharpening my mind to be
ready whenever my students are asking questions.
good communication skills: as a former call center agent, I have
enhanced my skills when it comes to communicating with others.
have a lot of patience: also, as a call center agent, you need to
have a lot of patience towards your customers. And it is the same
with teaching as a teacher, it is hard to control your emotions,
but we need to keep in mind that in our every action there will be
a consequence.
Adaptive: I can adjust my teaching styles or methods to suit
different learning styles.
Sympathy: being a teacher it is also vital to understand the
actions of our students, we need to listen first why their actions
are not proper. I have a lot of experience of these types of
scenarios because most of my friends are broken hearted, so it is
very important to listen to their part and supply good advice.
well organized: I always organize my space, even at work my
paperwork and desk are clean and well arranged.
Creative: I’m a type of person who wants to have an activity with
fun in a way my students will enjoy while learning
and have dedication in work: I really thought of this career for a
long time and finally decided to become a teacher, I am committed
to becoming a successful teacher to supply a good quality of
education to my students.
3. What are your plans for when you finish your TCP?
My first plan would be to apply in DepEd, to start my teaching
career. It would be my first step towards my goal to become a
successful teacher. If there’s a little chance to be part in DepEd
because of lack of experience, my back up plan would be to apply in
a private school wherein I will gain a lot of experience in a way
if I re-apply to DepEd they will reconsider my application.
However, if I find happiness and peace of mind in a certain private
school I will choose to stay in that school. If all of that will
not be in my favor, I will try to apply in any institution of BPO
company as a trainer. I will accept any job if it involves training
or educating others.
4. What do you think is the impact of a teacher.
a) In the society
b) In the life of a student
c) In your family
a) the life of a teacher sometimes is not easy when a certain
society has high expectations of a teacher. Every action of a
teacher in public can be a great way to use against them. As a
teacher our concern is not only limited inside the classroom, but
we should also be cautious of our actions because of our world
which is full of judgement.
b) the role of a teacher in the life of a student can affect
students greatly because students have a lot of time to spend in
the school compared to their homes and they spend most of their
time with their teachers. The role of a teacher is to guide
students in the right path. The teachers must impart knowledge,
skills, attitude, ethics, and spirituality. As a teacher we should
be a role model and a good example for them to emulate us, because
a teacher also has the power to alter the minds and beliefs of a
student if he or she desire.
c) if I become a teacher, the impact on my family would affect me.
Because most of my other relatives, friends, and neighbors know
that I already passed the chemical licensure examinations, so they
expect that I am working related to my undergrad course. I want to
surprise them by saying that I have a greater plan toward my future
without exposing anything. Also, my close friends would not believe
that I would become a teacher because I am the joker of the group,
and they know me of my humor which is not for everyone. I also want
to become a good role model to my brothers, sisters, and cousins.
Even though I always make jokes around, I am serious when it comes
to studying. I also help them with their studies and homework. As
the first one who graduated in college among my cousins, I want to
inspire them that they can do anything, and to show them that
learning does not stop after graduating in college because some of
my cousins stop their studies due to laziness and low self-esteem,
and I hope someday that they will continue their studies because I
will be always there for them.
The are many reasons that I considered to become a teacher, one of
the reasons is because of my former chemistry teacher in Negros
Occidental High School (NOHS). She is the main reason why I pursue
teaching, because back when I was in high school, I really hated
science subjects. I used to skip classes when it was related to

the best version of themselves. The other reason would be career
development, as I passed the chemical technician licensure
examination, I want to do more with my life, like having more
achievements or credentials. Last reason, I don’t want to be away
with my loved ones, because my undergrad course is not in-demand
