Normal Aging Changes Compared to Eliopoulos (year)

What aging changes did you note in the client (physically and psychologically)? How do
these compare to the findings in the textbook (Eliopoulos)? What is the
pathophysiology behind the aging changes?

Theories of Aging

Review Chapter 2 in textbook for the various theories. Discuss one theory from each of
the following 2 categories:
Biological theory – i.e. Wear and tear, Biogerentology, Nutrition theory, etc.
Sociological/Psychological theory – i.e. Activity, Subculture, Geotranscendence, etc.

Include why you think this client fits into this theory.

Health and Wellness

In this section, refer to Chapter 7 – “Health Challenges – Related Needs”. What are the
challenges to keeping this client from deteriorating further? Does this client require any
education about either their health conditions or lifestyle? What would you
recommend to this person to enhance their life (review PIECES)? If client is well, what is
he/she doing that keeps them healthy at that age?

Were there any surprises? (i.e. did you have misconceptions or attitudes that were

accomplish in the paper what you set out to do (as described in the Introduction)?
