INT. LUXURY HOUSE / BEDROOM1 - NIGHT

SAM, 50, a well-groomed man, is getting dressed up. He
finishes dressing, looks himself up in the mirror, well
satisfied, walks out of the room.

EXT. HILLY ROAD - NIGHT

A car speeds through a hilly road, swerving a bit out of
control.

INT. LUXURY HOUSE / CORRIDOR - NIGHT

Sam walks through the corridors of his house and enters
BEDROOM2 in another end.

NAT (Nat), a beautiful woman in her mid 20’s, is rummaging

through her drawer. She looks somewhat tense and is looking
for something.
SAM
Darling, you are not yet ready?
NAT
((a bit taken aback))
Uh, ahem - I am not feeling well -
Is it necessary that I come? ...

She turns back and starts looking through the drawer again.
NAT (CONT’D)
Gawd, where are the pills gone?

Sam walks up to her.

SAM
Sweetheart, you don’t need pills
when I am around. Now go and
freshen up first.

EXT. ROADSIDE PLATEAU - NIGHT

The car reaches a plateau and stops, the engine still
revving.

INT. LUXURY HOUSE / BEDROOM2 - NIGHT

NAT comes out of the attached WASHROOM.
Sam pulls out a sexy SINGLE PIECE DRESS from the CUPBOARD
and lays it on the bed.

SAM
Why don’t you wear this today?

EXT. ROADSIDE PLATEAU - NIGHT

The car is still standing still, but the engine starts
vrooming as the accelerator is pressed.

SAM helps NAT put on the dress. He looks at her admiringly.

SAM
There, looking the most gorgeous as
always.
He gives her a peck.

SAM (CONT.)
Let’s go.

EXT. ROADSIDE PLATEAU - NIGHT

The car suddenly lunges forward at great speed and plunges

down the cliff edge. As the car falls down the hill, it
catches fire along the way, and finally bursts into a flame.

INT. 5 STAR HOTEL / BANQUET - NIGHT

A high-end party is going on. There is a gathering of rich
industrialists, socialites, and sexy models. Sam and Nat
intermingle with the crowd, exchanging pleasantries.

SAM gradually distances himself from NAT and walks up to the

bar.
MAGGIE, a sexy lady in her early 30’s, approaches him from
behind and squeezes his butt.

SAM
(looking around and smiling)
A quick one as usual ... but get me
a B52 first.
OPENING CREDITS start with TITLE MUSIC against a montage of
Sam and Maggie sneaking out to a WASHROOM and making out.

EXT. ROAD - NIGHT

Sam is driving a car, alone, along a hilly terrain.

His PHONE rings. He picks it up.

SAM
Yes, I am on my way ... will be
there in 20 min.

He keeps the phone down.

He passes a spot where there is a small plateau beside. The
spot has been CORDONED off by the police. He pulls the car
off the road and stops near the cordoned off area.

He gets out of his car and walks towards the cliff, crossing
the cordon.
He spends some time inspecting the area around.

He walks back towards his car. He opens the door to get

inside.

EXT. 5 STAR HOTEL / ENTRANCE PORCH - NIGHT

Sam gets inside his car.

He takes out his PHONE and dials an international (UK
MOBILE) number.

SAM
Sid, Sam here ... How are you
buddy? ... I have some bad news for
you ... Your brother Josh has had
an accident ... No, he’s dead
...His car fell off the cliff ... I
am sorry ... You come here as soon
as you can ... Tomorrow? ... That
will be great ... Take care buddy.
Bye.

He shuts the phone down and starts the car.

He drives the car out of the hotel compound.

EXT. LUXURY HOTEL EXTERIOR PORCH - NIGHT

SAM drives into the hotel compound, gets out of his car and
enters the hotel.

INT. LUXURY HOTEL / LOBBY - NIGHT

SID, a well-groomed man in his early 50’s, looks tense and
waits impatiently in the lobby.
As Sam enters the hotel, Sid immediately notices him and
walks up to him.
SID
Sam!
They hug each other.

SAM
I am sorry!
Sid pats him on his back.

SID
Come, let’s go to my room.
They start walking towards the elevator.
SAM
Did you arrive just now?
SID
A little while ago.
SAM
You came alone?
SID
No, Maya’s with me.

They step inside the ELEVATOR.

SAM and SID step into the elevator.
SAM

Sid presses the floor button.

SID

SAM

SID
((sighs))

Yes, my life’s strange.
The elevator reaches the pressed floor.

SID opens the minibar, gets out a bottle of soda and pours
it into a glass of whiskey.

SAM already has a glass of whiskey in hand.

SID
Cheers!

They start sipping their drinks.
SAM (CONT.)
The accident happened yesterday
evening, sometime between 7 and 8.
I came to know of it later at night
and called you immediately.

Do you know the place?

SAM
It’s close by, about half an hour
from here.
SID
Did you see the body?

SAM
The body is burnt beyond
recognition. I couldn’t make much
out of it. They could identify him
by his locket - he was quite famous
here ... Josh, the rock-star, they
used to call him. And this locket
was always with him in all his
pictures.
SID
I had gifted him the locket when he
turned 21.
Sid’s eyes turn red.
They sip their drinks quietly for some time.

SID (CONT.)
What do the cops have to say?
SAM

(sighs)
They traced some drugs in the car.
He was possibly high and drove off
the road.

Sid is silent.
SAM (CONT.)
It’s all because of this bastard
Arvind.

Sid looks up.

SID
Arvind?
SAM
You know, after Josh came back from
London, I had met him and offered
him a job in my club.

A happening nightclub with good crowd dancing.

SAM is seated in one corner with 2-3 girls; he is enjoying

himself fully.
A sexy girl in the dance floor catches his attention.

He goes up to approach the girl.

As he is about to talk to her, Josh - a late-20’s handsome
guy - steps in.

JOSH
Hey Sam, that’s my girl!
Sam halts in his tracks.
The girl, a PYT, - Tanya - turns. She extends her hand to
Sam.
TANYA
Hi, I am Tanya.
Sam smiles and shakes her hand.

SAM
I am Sam.
TANYA

(to Josh)
Don’t be so rude Josh!
Josh cuddles her from back.
JOSH
You don’t know this man babe. He’s
the Michael Douglas of Goa. Girls,
beware!
SAM
I guess, I’ll take it as a
compliment. Why don’t you guys join

Sam points to his table in the corner.

SAM and SID are drinking and talking. Sam is a bit agitated.

He is the Raavan of Goa! He is the
dirtiest guy here - he is Goa’s
drug-lord! And you know, how much I
hate drugs!

INT. ARVIND ESTABLISHING SHOTS - DAY

Establishing shots of ARVIND - the druglord.

SAM (V.O.)
He deals with the Nigerians, the
Russians, the Israilies ... he has
turned this place into a drug haven
... he owns two nightclubs, which

SAM and SID are discussing Josh’s accident.
SAM
He was very keen to turn my club
into his drug retail outlet. When I
refused, he even offered to buy me
out. If there is one man I want to
kill in my life, it is Arvind.

SID
(sighs)
Josh always had this thing about
courting trouble.

SAM
I warned him, but you know Josh!
The door latch turns, and MAYA, an attractive lady in her
enters.

SID
Sam, that’s Maya. And Maya, that’s
Sam.
Sam and Maya exchange pleasantries.

SAM
I have been hearing so much about
you. It’s good to finally meet you.
Maya smiles.

MAYA
I was hoping to meet your wife. Why
didn’t you get Nat along?
SAM
Actually, I wasn’t expecting you to
be here with Sid.
Maya gives a mysterious look at both of them.

Anyway, now that you are here, I’ll
surely get Nat along in the
morning.
Sam prepares to leave.
SAM (CONT.)
I’ll leave you guys to rest and
catch up with you in the morning.
Sam heads towards the door.
SID
((to Sam))
When can I get my brother’s body?
SAM
I think, the cops will hand you
over Josh’s body tomorrow. We can
arrange for the funeral then.
Sid’s eyes turn red again.
SAM (CONT.)
Be strong and take care my friend.
Bye Maya!
Sam leaves.

EXT. BEACH - NIGHT

SID and MAYA are strolling by the beach.
The beach is lined with shacks. There is a bonfire and
people are enjoying, singing, dining around it.

SID
I am tired. Shall we go back to the
hotel?

MAYA
All day we have been inside the
hotel. Let’s spend some time
outside. OK, let’s sit here, have a
drink and then we will go back.

Seeing them come, the shack-boys come inviting.

MAYA (CONT.) (CONTD)
(to the shack-boys)
No, we will sit out, here by the
bonfire. Can you get us some
chairs?
The boys rush and get two chairs.
Sid and Maya sit down.

The boys take the order for their drinks and leave.
SID
I need to go to the loo.

He gets up.
Maya also gets up.
MAYA
I think, I’ll also come.

They head towards the loo.

Just outside the loo, they bump into TANYA.

It’s an uncomfortable moment for all three.

Sid gets very disturbed and heads back towards the hotel
with Maya.

Sid feels very frustrated.

He walks out to the balcony.
Maya picks up a drink and slides down in the bed.

MAYA and TANYA are lesbian partners, dancing in a club.

JOSH and SID are sitting on the bar stool, drinking.
Josh is trying to flirt with a girl standing close-by.

Sid’s attention is repeatedly getting focussed on Maya. It

is evident that he fancies Maya. Josh notices that.
JOSH
Hey Bro, you are really into her!

There is nothing between us. We are
just two old people sharing the
same roof.

SAM

Sid dismisses off Sam’s comment with a nod.

He’s not wearing his uniform.

He stays in London. He’s a
professor at Oxford University -
you must have heard about Oxford?
Rathod nods in an appeasing manner.
SAM (CONTD)
He flew down here yesterday. As you
can understand, he’s still in a
state of shock - why are you still
standing? Sit.
Rathod pulls a chair and sits down.

RATHOD
((to Sid))
Good to meet you Sir. I am very
sorry for your loss. Josh was the
star of Goa. He will be in our
heart forever. He was -
SAM
- When can we get the body Rathod?
We need to do the funeral, Sid has
to go back.
RATHOD
Um ... there is a little problem
Sir.

SAM
What problem Rathod? I thought I
have taken care of all your
problems.
RATHOD
Um, we did the post-mortem.
Protocol Sir! And ... as per the
report, Josh didn’t die in the car
crash.

in his body.

Sam is thinking deep.
Sid seems to be building a rage inside him.

One more thing Sir. We found out
that Josh had checked in here -
this same hotel - before he died.
So ... my experience says, he must
have been murdered here only.

SID is very restless. He is pacing up and down the room.

SAM prepares a drink for himself and offers to make one for
Sid.

SAM
For you?
Sid declines the offer.

It’s getting too complicated now.
First I thought Josh died in an
accident. Now we find out he was
poisoned and murdered. I - I mean,
what do I do now?
SAM
Well, there is definitely more to
Josh than we thought we knew.

SID
I don’t know why somebody would
kill Josh. He was not a bad guy -
you knew him Sam.
SAM
People don’t get murdered because
they are bad or good. Josh was
impulsive. And sometimes when you
do things in an impulse, you have
no idea what the consequences could
be.

SID
And then this staged accident.
Whoever killed him didn’t want to
arouse any suspicion. So he staged
an accident to mislead the cops.
Who do you think could have
murdered Josh?
SAM
I don’t know. I am not a cop ...
Somehow my gut feel tells me that
Arvind is involved in all this. The
poisoning, the car accident, the
drugs found in his car - its
complicated.

SID
Josh was always into complications.
He complicated his life and of
those around him while he was
alive. Now that he is dead, even
his death is a complication. I am

Sam walks up to him and soothes him.
SAM
- Just keep your calm. I have some
urgent meetings. So I’ll have to

Sid feels restless and in a mixed state of emotions. He
thinks for some time, looks at his watch, and then dials the
hotel phone.

SID
I need a car ... local travel ...
that would do ... now, in the next
ten minutes.

He hangs up the phone.

He walks across the room, picks up a briefcase and puts it
on the table.
He clicks open the briefcase.

EXT. STREETSIDE CAFFE - DAY

Sid pulls out some papers from his briefcase.

Sid is seated in a caffe with a middle aged man ALBERTO.

SID
So you have seen the property.
These are the papers.

He pushes a bunch of property papers across the table

towards Alberto.
Alberto picks up the papers and starts going through them.

SID (CONT.) (CONTD)

I have nothing left in Goa now. My
brother’s dead. So there’s no point
in holding back this property.

ALBERTO
Your brother was quite famous here.
Sid nods sadly.
SID
I know I could have got a better
price, but I don’t want to
negotiate - I am in no mood. I just
want the money to be transferred to
my account while I am still here.

ALBERTO
Don’t worry about that Sir. I will
need a day to go through these
papers. If everything is all right,
then we can sign the papers day
after.
SID
There is not much to check. It’s my
father’s property. Anyway, you call
me once you are through with your
due diligence and we will take it
from there.
Sid gets up to leave.
Alberto also gets up.

ALBERTO
I will definitely call you tomorrow

Sid leaves the caffe.

SID starts walking down the ROAD. He seems lost in his
thoughts.

A car starts a little behind him and follows him slowly.

Sid walks into a bye lane.
The car follows him into the lane. Sid, still lost in his
thoughts does not notice the car following.

The car picks up speed and halts right next to him.

TWO BURLY MEN get out of the car and suddenly catch hold of
Sid. They quickly force him into the car.
The car drives off.

SID is brought in front of ARVIND.

ARVIND
So how does it feel to be a star’s
brother Mr. Siddharth Srivastav?

SID
Why have you got me here forcibly?
ARVIND
Did my men hurt you? I told them to
bring you safe and sound.
SID
But who are you? I don’t know you.
ARVIND
I am Arvind. You must have heard
about me from your brother Josh ...
or your dear friend Sam!
SID
Oh, so you are Arvind! ... Josh
used to work for you.
ARVIND
Yes, and I am the one who made your

JOSH performing as a replacement DJ at Arvind’s club; crowd
liking him; Arvind notices that, and offers him a job as a
regular DJ at his club.
Josh’s growing popularity and how females are mad about him.
ARVIND is happy with Josh’s performance and promises him a
bright future.

ARVIND
Yes, Josh was a star. And I made
him a star! ... But how does that
sneaky bastard show his gratitude?
He steals my money!
Sid is shocked.
ARVIND (CONTD)
Don’t act shocked Mr. Srivastav. It
is hard for me to believe that you
didn’t know anything about it ...
Your brother betrayed my trust and
stole a large amount of my money.
Then he tries to escape and drives
off into the hills - boom! He goes
and along with him goes all my
money. It’s sad that he got himself
killed for he denied me the
pleasure of dealing with him in my
own sweet little ways.

ARVIND
Oh, I see. If driving down the hill

The cops came with their forensic
report. That’s the truth.
ARVIND
Hmmm ... that means my money is
still intact. Somebody has it and
is hiding it ... And I think I know
who has it.

(calling his goons)

Where is that girl Tanya? Go fast
and get her here before she escapes
with my money. And don’t kill her.
I want her alive.
((turning to Sid))
You can go now Mr. Srivastav. But
my eyes are on you. You don’t leave
this town till I find my money. And
if I can’t find it, then you will
pay it back to me.
((calling one of his men))
Go, show him the way out.

TANYA and MAYA are dancing in a club.

JOSH manages to attract Tanya’s attention; soon they start
dancing together and later making out.

Josh runs away with Tanya.

Maya has a nervous breakdown. SID takes care of her and
later makes her move in with him.

Arvind’s GOONS arrive at Tanya’s house, but find it locked.

They look around and see TANYA escaping through a window.

Arvind’s GOONS chase TANYA.
Tanya is saved in the nick of the moment by SID, who pulls
her aside and hoodwinks the goons.
SID
Do you know these guys Tanya?
Tanya thinks for a while, then nods her head.

TANYA
Yes ... But why were they after me?
SID
Why were you trying to escape
Tanya?
Tanya is quiet.
SID (CONTD)
You killed Josh and now you were
trying to escape.
Tanya is quite baffled.
TANYA
What nonsense are you talking Sid!
Josh died in a car accident.
SID
((sarcastic))
You were Josh’s girlfriend. Josh
ran away to Goa because of you. You
were closest to him. And you are
trying to act as if he died in a
car accident!

Yes, that’s what I know ... How did
he die then?
SID
He was poisoned and murdered.
Tanya is shocked.

Sid charges Tanya with Josh’s murder; Tanya denies.

EXT. JETTY - DAY

Tanya lights a cigarette.
TANYA
Why do you say Josh was murdered?
SID
The cops came with the forensic
report. Did you kill Josh Tanya?

TANYA
I might have wanted to at some
time. But no, I didn’t kill your
brother.
SID
But you guys were so much in love.
You gave up Maya because of him.
TANYA
Yes, because of him, I didn’t even
get a chance to say bye to Maya. I
actually ditched her because of
him.
SID
Things were not right between you
two?

SID is walking around aimlessly. He is a bit fidgety.

... All I know is that I don’t harm
anybody. I don’t force myself on
anybody ... I love women and I love

custody; either Sam convince Nat to return his money or Sam

SAM and SID reach Arvind’s den.
They have a shoot-out.

Sam rescues NAT; Sid ends up killing ARVIND.

COPS come; Sam handles the situation well.

For the first time, Nat comes a bit closer to Sam; Sam is
very happy.

Tanya is driving and Maya is resting on her shoulder.

The car goes over rough patch and starts wobbling.

Tanya slows down and pulls up the car.
Maya wakes up.

She gets out.

She looks around. It’s dark and in the midst of nowhere.

is about to take a second swig when she is startled by

Maya turns back but she can’t see Tanya as the dicky hood is
raised. She gets out of the car and rushes back.
Tanya is standing, looking stunned.

NAT walks into the room.

It is empty, but she can hear Josh singing in the bath.

She keeps her purse in the table and takes out her gun.
She moves towards the bath.

JOSH is in the bath tub, fully covered with foam, chest

NAT comes out of the hotel lobby and waits for her car.

Suddenly she sees Sam’s car drive through the hotel gate.
She picks up speed and drives out.
She parks her car outside and gets out.

She avoids the lobby and walks through the hotel garden. She
stops at a point where she is outside Josh’s room.
She peers inside and sees Tanya and JOSH hugging each other.

She can’t hear what they are talking but sees then kissing

He moves towards the door.

He rotates the cylinder again and passes the gun to SID.

Sid starts sweating.

He puts the gun on his forehead and after trying for quite
some time, finally manages to pull the trigger.

Sid, too, survives.

Sid rotates the cylinder and passes the gun to NAT now.
Nat gets very nervous.

SAM (CONT.)
Don’t worry darling. We all have an
equally fair chance. It all depends
on your destiny.

Nat briskly puts the gun on her forehead and pulls the
trigger.
She survives.
They all look at each other.

SAM (CONT.)
We all survived. We are all lucky
bastards. Maybe destiny doesn’t
think so bad about us. Maybe we
deserve a second chance. Who knows?

He gets up and leaves the cabin to go to the deck.

Sid is still, looking down.
Nat looks at Sid and then looks out at Sam.

She gets up and walks up to Sam in the deck.

Sid looks at the gun on the table.

Nat puts her hand on Sam’s shoulder.
Sam smiles.

INT. HIGHWAY HOTEL - NIGHT

TANYA is fast asleep. MAYA is awake.

She makes sure that Tanya is in deep sleep. Then she gets up
and tiptoes to a table where her purse is kept. She unzips
it and takes out the poison bottle.

INT. LUXURY HOTEL - DAY

MAYA notices JOSH in the hotel.
She picks up a bouquet from the local florist and tells
reception to send to Josh’s room as a surprise gift.

She follows the bellboy and finds out his room; she sees
TANYA inside; she gets into her room as Josh goes down to
meet Sid.

INT. LUXURY HOTEL / ROOM - DAY

Maya convinces Tanya to be with her.
Later, when Tanya is busy showering, she mixes poison in a
champagne bottle left by house-keeping in Josh’s room.
She takes Tanya out.

INT. LUXURY HOTEL / ROOM - LATER

Josh drinks the poisoned champagne in presence of SAM, after

reviving from a faked death by NAT’s bullet and dies.

INT. HIGHWAY HOTEL - NIGHT

MAYA empties the poison bottle in the sink and throws the
bottle out.
FADE OUT

A gun shot is heard.
