Inventory Control II

Peers: Inventory Control I FLSA Class: Hourly


Key Skills and Competencies:
1. Must have a minimum of 2 years warehouse and inventory management experience in a heavy
manufacturing environment.
2. Must be able to operate forklift and lifting devices.
3. Basic computer skills for inventory transactions, shipping and receiving documentation and processing
work orders.
4. Must be able to follow written and oral instructions.
5. Must be able to communicate in English (both written and oral) as it relates to the job.
6. Must be adaptable to a changing work environment, competing demands and is able to deal with
frequent change, delays or unexpected events.
7. Must be willing and able to work flexible shifts and changing work schedules.
8. Must possess basic math skills to include but not limited to adding, subtracting, multiplication, and
division for the purpose of inventory tracking, cycle counts and other functions related to the position.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:


1. Stock warehouse, pull orders, stage material and transfer stock per work order instructions.
2. Load and unload material from vendors, freight companies, and company trucks.
3. Verify correct deliveries and shipments with packing slips and work orders.
4. Sort, label, wrap, pack and other functions to prepare material for proper shipping.
5. Processes paperwork for material receipts and work orders.
6. Completes inventory transactions in manufacturing software system.
7. Assigns transportation for all shipments and prepares appropriate documents.
8. Performs cycle counts and inventory audits.
9. Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory counts during all material movements and system
transactions.
10. Report any material discrepancies or material defects to area supervisor.
11. Operates a forklift and lifting devices for movement of parts.
12. Communicates with supervisor, engineers, production control, quality and other shop personnel as it
relates to the job.
13. Responsible for keeping equipment and work area clean and orderly and perform basic preventative
maintenance functions on equipment.
14. Within the scope of the job requirements, will be required to adhere and comply with state and federal
law, the Company ISO Quality Program and procedures, Company policies and Safety and
Environmental Regulations.
15. May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Personal Protective Equipment Requirements:


1. Safety Glasses while in shop area.
2. Steel Toe Boots while in shop area.
PHYSICAL DEMAND CATEGORY:

Sedentary Work
Lifting 10 pounds maximum and occasionally lifting and/or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small
tools.
Light Duty
Lifting 20 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 10 pounds.
Medium Work
Lifting 50 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
Heavy Work
Lifting 100 pounds maximum with frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
