Simulink model
Parameters:
Trials:
1- R=0.01
2- R=0.02
3- R=0.03
4- R=0.04
Comparison:
R(%)= 0.01 0.02 0.03 0.04
SETTLING TIME(s) 7 6 6 6
Comment:
By comparing the values of R1, I came to the conclusion that R1=
0.01, is the best trial with the minimal undershoot and steady state
values, and with a se ling me close to the other trials, and also it
has a minimal oscilla ons compared to the other trials.
2- Single area (controlled)
Simulink model
Parameters:
Adding the integrator (controlled)
R1= 0.01 (unchanged)
∆f= 0 (controlled)
Trials:
1- K= 20
2- Ki= 22
3- K= 30
4- K= 40
5- Ki= 62
Comment:
By comparing all the values of Ki, we came to the
conclusion that Ki=22, is the best one regarding all
conditions (oscillations etc.)
3- Two areas uncontrolled:
Parameters:
Simulink model
Case 1: outage at area 1 (100 MW)
Parameters:
RESULTS:
Comment: as the outage is in area 1 we came to the
conclusion that the curve of area 2 is approaching the
curve of area 1, and area 1 is the curve with the least
oscillations and the TLB is in negative region.
Case 2: outage in area 2 (100 MW)
PARAMETERS:
Results:
Comment: as the outage is in area 2 we came to the
conclusion that the curve of area 1 is approaching the
curve of area 2, and area 2 is the curve with the least
oscillations and the TLB is in positive region.
Area 1 controlled(AGC) ,Area 2 uncontrolled
Case 1: outage in area 1 (100 MW)
Parameters:
Simulink model
Trials:
Ki1= 0.7
Ki1= 1
Ki1= 1.8
Comparison:
Ki1= 0.7 1 1.8
∆f= 0 0 0
∆p12= 0 0 0
Settling time 20 45 ∞
Comment: after many trials we came to the conclusion
that Ki1= 0.7, is the ideal trial with the minimal
oscillations and minimal settling time.
Case 2: outage at area 2(100 MW)
Parameters
Ki1= 0.7
Comment: with the selected Ki1= 0.7, we came to
the conclusion that the settling time is = 60 s
