Location
London is the capital city of United Kingdom. It is located on the South side of England. London is the
biggest city in UK. The river Thames flows through London. The population is over 10 million.

Symbols
Iconic symbols of London are the Red telephone boxes and red double-decker bus. Another intresting
symbol are the Queen’s guard’s (the intresting thing is that their „Bearskin“ hats are truly made from
Bears.

Places to visit
Most intresting places to visit are Big Ben (which is situated next to the Westminster Abbey), Tower
Bridge (the tilting bridge across the river Thames), London eye (it looks like a big rotating wheel with
passenger cabins). Another intresting place to visit is Buckingham Palace – it is the residence of The
Queen of England.

Means of transport
There is the largest Metro in Europe called „Tube“ by the Londoners. You can also travel by Tram or
by Double-decker bus. If you want to spend a lot of money, you can order a taxi.

Things to do
Best thing to do is definitely sightseeing. There are a lot of beautiful monuments. If you don’t like
sightseeing, you can try a tour of the stadium of some London team or you can watch a live match
there.
