Carlos Yulo bound to Belgium for 2024 Paris Olympics qualifying

After bagging a silver medal in the men’s all-around as his first medal in the Asian
Gymnastics Championships on Friday. The 23-year-old Filipino pride booked a spot in
the World Championships in Belgium.

Flanked by both Japanese gymnasts Shinnosuke Oka who won the gold medal after
garnering 86.065 points and Takeru Kitazono who secured the third spot after scoring
85.431.

Carlos Edriel Yulo of the Philippines claimed the silver medal with 85.930 points. All of
them gained their highest scores in the parallel bars apparatus.

Carlos now have three months to prepare for the World Tilt to be held in Belgium this
coming September—which will be his lone chance to qualify for the 2024 Paris
Olympics.

A day after this event, Yulo also wins his back to back gold medal after leading the
men’s artistic event at the ongoing Asian Artistic Gymnastics Championships in
Singapore this Saturday night.
