Studying abroad

With each passing year, studying abroad is becoming more popular and preferred for
future students. They have a wide choice of specialties in different universities around the
world. I think, this is a great opportunity for young people, but everyone has to decide for
themselves if they can handle it.
Of course, going to another place where everything is unknown is perfectly normal for
students to feel lonely and out of place. The lack of parents gradually leads to independence in
decision-making. This is essential for the lives of students who are far away from their loved
ones. Frequent making of even simple decisions in everyday life leads to making easier
decisions in the future and increases their self-confidence.
Undoubtedly, moving to another country gives students the opportunity to touch
another culture and language. Young people gradually learn and begin to celebrate foreign
customs and traditions. Learning and practicing a foreign language opens doors for students
abroad. This allows them to understand and communicate with other people. They can also
make new friendships with which young people share their experiences and make studying
abroad a truly exclusive and exciting experience.
On the other hand, it is not easy for students to be away from their homeland, family
and friends, to whom they feel strong love and affection. In such situations, the feeling of
nostalgia is almost inevitable and is quite normal. We live in a 21st century in which
technology is the best ally of students in the battle against nostalgia for everything native and
familiar.
In general, I believe that studying abroad is a truly unique opportunity because of the
benefits it gives students - better skills and education, a broader worldview and greater
competitiveness. But not every young person would dare to take such a step in his life and
embrace with open arms an unknown culture, a foreign language, different traditions, customs
and moral values. Students to live completely alone away from home, family, friends.
