Studying at university is a great opportunity for all and

it’s even more beneficial if the university attended is in

a foreign country.
Studying at a university for higher education is a huge advantage for every student and if
the university is in a foreign country it has its own benefits. I support this statement
partially. Studying abroad has many advantages and some disadvantages as well.
There are plenty of reasons why students should consider studying abroad. First and
foremost is it improves the language skills. If a student is going to study abroad he must
learn the language to communicate with his teachers and fellow students which develops
his language skills and it has a positive impact in his career as well. Secondly it enhances his
knowledge of different cultures and societies. Living in a different country teaches students
to engage with new people from different cultures and different backgrounds. It also helps
to gain different perspectives which has a huge impact on how we respond in various
situations. Meeting people all over the world helps to understand their traditions, festivals
and foods. Also, if a student is going to study in a different country it teaches him new life
skills. A student who is leaving his country have to learn how live on his own. Being in a
different country pushes you to learn new skills such as cooking, communication skills, self-
reliance and many more to survive on your own which is very much important for students
because it boosts your self confidence, independence and your problem solving skills. Last
but not the least studying in a foreign university increases the employability opportunities.
Having a degree of foreign university gives an international exposer to the students which
attracts the employers because they know that you have knowledge as well as other soft
skills of being an international student.
There are also some drawback of studying in a foreign country. Such as the biggest
challenge for the students is the communication barriers. Students have to learn a new
language to start their new journey in a different country which is a massive problem for
some students who haven’t used or doesn’t know enough about the language which leaves
a huge gap of communication. Another one is home sickness. Leaving the home country and
living on your own without family makes the students homesick which makes them feel
lonely and effects their mental health. Almost every international student faced this sickness
and if they can not get the proper company of new friends its hard to overcome quickly.
Also studying a high ranked foreign university can cost a lot. Students from not so very
financially solvent background faces lots of financial difficulties in his new journey of life.
Though there are inconveniences but the amenities surpasses them.
