OneAmerica’s employees accept nominations and ASPIRE awards

OneAmerica recognizes more than 200 associates with recent awards

INDIANAPOLIS— October 2, 2016 — Today, OneAmerica announced the company’s

ASPIRE awards to 10 different individuals from a list of 267 nominees. These employees,

OneAmerica claims embody their core values.

The ASPIRE Awards is a ceremony where OneAmerica will recognize 10 special

associates who stand for and reflect the ASPIRE definition. ASPIRE stands for, Achievement,

Stewardship, Partnership, Integrity, Responsiveness and Excellence. The ASPIRE values span

over the entire 2,500 associates in all work-related pursuits. Nominees are referred from their

peers, supervisors, and project partners.

“Every year, we select a handful of our associates that in their everyday lives represent

our ASPIRE values,” said Scott Davison, chairman, president, and CEO of OneAmerica. “These

people make me so proud of the way they can serve our customers with our core values on their

sleeves.”

The ASPIRE Awards contain nominees from four different categories. Distinguished

Achievement, Excellence in Execution, Excellence in Partnership and Outstanding Leadership.

Each of these categories comes with a monetary gift of 5 thousand dollars for the associate

chosen to win. However, each category has certain specifics needed for one to be qualified for
any of the given awards. For example, to be considered for nomination for the Distinguished

Achievement and Outstanding Leadership awards, a specific number of years of service is

required.

Tying in with that, the other categories have unique qualifications, such as the Leadership

Award has a requirement which states you must hold a leadership position and have led a team

that includes 3 other associates. Making the associates who are qualified for one of the categories

even more exclusive. We talked to the winner of our Distinguished Achievement award, Anne

Scheil, a senior actuarial analyst in the Individual Life and Financial Services line of business.

She has been with our company for 43 years. She always takes on difficult tasks but never loses

clients' interest; they remain her top priority.

“I have always loved this company and the people I work with,” Sheil said with a smile,

“I cannot express how grateful I am to everyone who nominated me. I love you all,” she

exclaimed.

The company is so proud of everyone who was nominated, along with all our winners for

each category. We ensure that all 2,500 of our associates make sure they represent the ASPIRE

values to a T. To ensure every one of them goes above and beyond to help satisfy our customer's

needs. We started this ceremony in 2014, to recognize outstanding associates who embody the

company's ASPIRE values and consistently provide excellent service to our customers and
