I’m
standing here today to deliver a speech entitled “Education”. Education is the process of
providing or gaining knowledge. It is something which transforms a human into a better
human being. Through education we learn about ethics, values and gain knowledge about
the world. Education also helps to enhance our thinking and makes us more mature and
tolerant. It also prepares us for our future by letting us acquire the essential skills which are
very important in providing livelihood to us.
Dear teachers and friends,
The importance of education could be understood from the fact that the person who
is well educated is highly respected and appreciated in the society. Education brings us out
of the darkness of ignorance and widens our thinking and mental capability. A well educated
country will always have fewer issues and will progress on the path of growth and
development.
Ladies and gentlemen,
Education helps a person to take better decisions in his life and also makes him to
analyze things in a more intellectual way. A better decision at right time enhances the
chances of success in life. A well-educated person will always have a better lifestyle and
earn a descent livelihood as compared to an individual who is not educated. Education helps
to earn better career opportunities and opens the way of success.
Moreover, a well educated person will always have a better communication skill and
body language. He will be able to present himself in a more sophisticated and descent way
in front of others and make him understood by others in a better way. Besides that,
education brings intellectual maturity and makes people follow the right path of life and
helps to stay away from all the evils of the society. It makes him an individual with great
ethics and values.
Dear teachers and friends,
A person who is well qualified can earn his livelihood anywhere without getting
dependent on others. It makes him self-reliant, economically as well as emotionally by
increasing his self confidence. In addition, a country whose citizens are educated well will
also support the economy of the country though various ways. An educated voter will also
choose a better leader for its country who will work for its growth and development.
Education is definitely one of the most important tools for success. It opens the door
of new opportunities and builds a path towards a better life. A person holding a high
qualification could easily get better job opportunities and could meet the concerned job
standards of the organization. Education also changes our perspective towards life and
makes us more optimistic. The vast ocean of knowledge gained through education helps us
to solve bigger problems in a very rational and positive way making the platform towards
success in respective professions. Education also improves your productivity and makes you
smarter to accomplish a given task by the use of modern technology. It helps to learn the
concerned skills required for a job and makes you ahead in your field. But education is not
the only thing to achieve success in life; in fact it is just a step towards success. You also
require hard work, strong determination, dedication and sincerity to get success in life.
These things along with your education will definitely unlock all the doors of success and
help you to achieve the aim of your life.
Finally, education makes us gain knowledge, learn ethics and values. It gives an
intellectual dimension to our thinking. It makes our decision more logical and rational.
Education also makes an individual independent and improves his lifestyle by helping him
to earn better livelihood for himself and his family. Education not only helps to achieve
success on an individual level but it also adds up to the economic growth of a country. It
helps to build better citizen, better society and a better nation by bringing us out of the
darkness of ignorance and enlighten us with knowledge.

Sports
Sports activities are mostly those activities that have acquired a professional stature
and are played at different levels including state, national and international level besides
being played locally in streets, schools and other places. Some sports activities are also
played to seek adventure. Sports are mostly played outdoors. Games can be both indoor and
outdoor. While some games are played for leisure others are played professionally. While
there is a slight demarcation between the two however, the terms sports and games are
mostly used interchangeably.
Sports and games are recommended for everyone. These serve as an exercise that
must form a part of our daily routine if we want to stay fit and active. The key to staying fit
is following a healthy lifestyle that includes a healthy diet and exercise. Different outdoor
sports such as cycling, swimming, football, basketball, etc are a good way to exercise. These
do not only help in keeping our physical health intact but are also a good way to stay fit
mentally.
Indoor games such as chess and carom board serve as a good exercise for our brain.
They enhance our thinking capacity and analytical skills and sharpen our mind. It is
suggested to inculcate the habit of following a sport or game in children from the very
beginning. It is good for their growth and overall development.

Unity
“Unity is Strength” is a common phrase and it is true to its every word. Unity means
being together. It means standing together in thick and thin. Man is a social animal and it is
important for him to stay united with his fellow beings in order to lead a peaceful and
fulfilling life. This is a very important message that people should pass on to their children.
They should set an example by creating a healthy environment at home where everyone
lives in coordination with each other. However, families are drifting apart these days and
people are forgetting the value of staying united.
Today, we see countries fighting with one another over petty issues. People are
killing each other because of minor reasons. There is hatred all around. Everyone is busy in
his own world and thinks only about himself. In earlier times people lived in joint families
and were well connected with their relatives and everyone else in their neighbourhood. They
were there for them whenever needed. In today’s time people are seldom aware as to who
their next door neighbour is. It is sad that even though we have numerous means to connect
with people, we do not bother to contact our loved ones.
It is time people must truly understand the importance of staying united and live
cordially with others.
Environment
Environment means all the natural surroundings such as land, air, water, plants,
animals, solid material, wastes, sunlight, forests and other things. Healthy environment
maintains the nature’s balance as well as helps in growing, nourishing and developing all
the living things on the earth. However, now a day, some manmade technological
advancement spoiling the environment in many ways which ultimately disturbs the balance
or equilibrium of nature. We are keeping our lives in danger as well as existence of life in
future on this planet.
If we do anything in wrong way out of the discipline of nature, it disturbs the whole
environment means atmosphere, hydrosphere and lithosphere. Besides natural environment,
a man made environment is also exists which deals with the technology, work environment,
aesthetics, transportation, housing, utilities, urbanization, etc. Man made environment
affects the natural environment to a great extent which we all must be together to save it.
The components of the natural environment are used as a resource however it is also
exploited by the human being in order to fulfill some basic physical needs and purpose of
life. We should not challenge our natural resources and stop putting so much pollution or
waste to the environment. We should value our natural resources and use them by staying
under the natural discipline.
