Philosophy with the National
Philosophy of Malaysia

National Philosophy aims to


shape and build a national
ideology.
1 – Believe in God

• Belief in God is a belief practiced


by those of various religions and
beliefs

• As a common denominator;
that is, a meeting point
between various cultures
and races that have their
own religious beliefs

2 – LOYALTY TO KING
AND COUNTRY
• The concept of the nation state is the nation
state Nation state

• Malaysia contains its own historical elements


that are absorbed through the monarchical
system or monarchy system

• This element of loyalty is important to ensure


that there is an aspect of unity among the
people and that unity is based on their loyalty
to the King who is the symbol as the
constitutional Head of State.

3 – SUPREMACY OF THE
CONSTITUTION
Each nation state has its own constitution

The supremacy of the Constitution can resolve disputes


through the principle of the supremacy of the
Constitution

It is important to ensure the stability of the country

The Constitution fosters the concept of a society based


on law and order

4 – the rule of law

• Constitution the highest form of law.

• No one can override or break the law.

• Able to maintain harmony in the country through the


existing legal system.

5 – mutual respect and
good social behaviour
• More personal and related to human relationships.

• Guarantee and maintain the harmony of good


relations between the people without a legislative
power.

• This characteristic produces Malaysians with a sense


of tolerance, decency and decency as well as
harmony and more considerate of fellow human
beings; or fellow citizens; compatriot
