CONCLUSION:

In the first part of the experiment we successfully completed our objective of this lab in learning
the principles of operation and applications of the digital oscilloscope. We learned basic ways to
take voltage and time measurements using the oscilloscope including measuring by using the
screen’s divisions, measuring by cursors, and measuring using digital readouts. We presumed
that using the digital readouts from the measure button provided the most accurate values. We
also successfully learned how to calculate gain as well as measure phase difference using both
the time delay method as well as the Lissajous figures method. Finally we experimented with
two different ways to measure the resistor voltage drop by switching the resistor and capacitor or
measuring the voltage difference between the ends of the resistor. Errors in our experimental
