Making a Peanut Butter and Jelly Sandwich:

The Right Way.

Where to start:

1) Gather Materials
 Smuckers Peanut Butter (Creamy or Chunky)
 Smuckers Jelly (Grape or Strawberry)
 Bread
 2 butter knives
 Salted Peanuts
 2 Plates
 Napkins

2) Layout
 Lay 2 slices of bread on 1 plate.
 Put the peanut butter on one side of the plate and the jelly on the other (Matching
each slice with peanut butter or jelly).
 Place one butter knife with the peanut butter and the other with the jelly.

How to Spread the Peanut Butter:

 Take the butter knife matched with the peanut butter and use it to scoop out about
half the length of the knife.

 Place the peanut butter on the right-center (avoiding the edge) of the slice of
bread.

 Slide the knife leftwards across the slice of bread (avoiding the edges) then with
the opposite side of the knife, slide the knife back across the bread to the starting
position (spreading the peanut butter twice).
 If there is visible bread
between the edge and the
peanut butter, add a small
amount of peanut butter
into the center then spread
accordingly to fill up to
the edge.

Adding the salted peanuts:

1) Take a small handful of the salted peanuts and make a square around the inside edge of
the bread.

2) Make smaller squares with the peanuts until the center of the bread is covered by the
peanuts.

3) This will allow for peanuts in every bite.

How to Spread the Jelly:

 Take the butter knife matched with the jelly and use it to scoop about a quarter of
the length of the knife.

 Place the jelly on the right center of the bread (avoiding the edges).

 Slide the knife across the center of the bread, then spread the jelly out across the
bread from the middle into a thin layer of jelly.
 Add one scoop of jelly about half the amount of the first time and spread it only
around the middle of the bread.

 This is to create a slightly

thicker layer of jelly in the
middle because the jelly
tends to squeeze the amount
of the sandwich when added
to the peanut butter.

How to slice the completed sandwich:

1) Cut the top slice of bread through the middle starting from the top left corner and ending
at the bottom right corner.

2) Without pulling the bread apart, place

the knife firmly into the cut in the top
left corner and slice through the bottom
slice in a slight forward-back motion.

3) This will allow for a clean separation

without squishing the center of the
bread.
