Overview
Position Summary

The Applications Developer is a key member of the Custom Applications Team (CAT) based in Visy’s Singapore
Technology hub. They will help ensure Visy’s portfolio of customised systems and applications are delivered to the Visy
business in an efficient manner.

This role will work within an established team responsible to provide project and operational services to Visy. The
responsible person will operate within the CAT and may, from time-to-time work closely with teams from the wider IDT
group.

Operational support will be delivered through managing response and resolution times so that CAT technical functions
are available to Visy. Afterhours duties may be required on a roster basis to support production rollouts, security
patches and/or emergency incident resolution.

Project delivery will be managed through the use of project management frameworks in the Visy’s ITSM tool.

Having a focus on the improvement in delivery of CAT’s systems and applications, the Applications Developer will be a
key member of a customer focused, dynamic and positive energy IT team that is fully focused on supporting the Visy
business and IT teams to achieve our goals and objectives.

The Applications Developer must have the ability to work in a fast paced and ever-changing environment. The
incumbent also must have keen interest and the ability to pick up new technologies according to project needs..

Follow established IT Operations policies, procedures, and processes to carry out day-to-day operations and activities
in order to ensure the dependability and availability of CAT’s systems and applications.

 Cloud experience on AWS Beanstalk, AWS Lambda,
AWS Code Commit, AWS ECS, AWS S3, AWS RDS is
a plus
 TDD / BDD experience

IT Project Support

Key Requirements
Experience & Qualifications

Mandatory (critical for the Role) Desirable (preferable for the Role)
 Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent  NA
 5+ years relevant experience working as an application
developer
 Experience in delivering IT technical service and
process in line with ITIL methodology
 Experience in delivering solutions in both waterfall and
Agile development frameworks
 Ability to work in a team environment whilst being self-
reliant and able to work independently
 Deep understanding of applications/software
development life cycle

 Demonstrated ability to participate in solution design
workshops
 Experience in delivering IT technical service and
process in line with ITSM methodology
 Excellent verbal and written communications skills and
ability to articulate and convey information concisely to
key stakeholders to influence outcomes
