TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION FOR WATER SCHEME MATERIALS

Generally the supplied items shall be of durable material manufactured according to the ISO standard
system or systems of similar or stronger requirements. Wherever reference is made in the Technical
Specifications to specific standards and codes to be met by the goods and materials to be furnished or
tested, the provisions of the latest current edition or revision of the relevant standards or codes in effect
shall apply, unless otherwise expressly stated in the Specifications. Where such standards and codes are
national or related to a particular country or region, other authoritative standards that ensure
substantial equivalence to the standards and codes specified will be acceptable. Indications of physical
sizes and measurements shall be considered as minimum sizes, unless otherwise specified.

The Contractor shall ensure that the specifications and all documentation relating to procurement and
installation of goods for the programme are prepared on an impartial basis so as to promote
competitive tendering.
