Voting Methods Explained

This document discusses different voting methods used in decision making. It describes five common voting methods: majority voting where over 50% of votes are needed to win; plurality voting where the candidate with the most votes wins; Borda count which awards points for preferences and the winner has the most points; plurality by elimination where the candidate with the fewest first place votes is eliminated round by round until one has a majority; and pairwise comparison where candidates are compared head-to-head with one point per victory.
