Answer the following questions.
Q.1: How can you make a perfect drawing in paint?
Ans: In Paint, we can enhance your drawing by copying, pasting, resizing flipping or even using
gridlines to make a perfect drawing.
Q.2: Write the steps for selecting a pictures in paint.
Ans: Step 1: On the Home tab, in the Image group, click the down arrow under Select.
Step 2: Do one of the following, depending on what you want to select.
 To select a square or a rectangular part of the picture, choose Rectangular selection. Drag the
mouse to select the part of the picture.
 To select an irregularly-shaped part of the picture, choose Free-form
Selection. Drag the mouse to select the part of the picture.

Q.3: What are the different types of Select options in paint?

Ans: 1: To select the whole picture, click select all.
2: To select everything in the picture except for the current selection, click Invert selection.
3: To delete the selected part of picture, click Delete.

Q.4: Write the steps for cutting and pasting a picture in paint.
Ans: Step 1: On the Home tab, in the Image group, click Select and drag the pointer to select the area
or object you want to cut.
Step 2: In the Clipboard group, click Cut. The part of the picture is stored in the temporary folder
called Clipboard.
Step 3: In the Clipboard group, click Paste.
Step 4: With the picture still selected, move in to a new place in the Drawing Area.
Q 5: What is the Rotating of a picture in a Paint?
Ans: Rotating a picture means to turn around the drawing about a center point at a specified angle and
direction.

Q.6: What is the meaning of flip picture?

Ans: Flip picture means to turn around.
 Flip vertical will turn the picture upside down.
 Flip horizontal will give you the mirror image.

Q.7: What is the use of Rulers in Paint?

Ans: The rulers are very useful in resizing pictures. They are found just above and left of the Drawing
Area.

Q 8: What is Gridlines?
Ans: Gridlines make the screen look like a graph sheet. They are useful to make precise drawings or
select or arrange picture.
