Ms. Jill Snyder

Director, MS/Dietetic Internship
1 UNF Drive
Jacksonville, Fl 32224

Dear Ms. Snyder:

I am writing to express my interest in the University of North Florida's MS/Dietetic (MS/DI)
Internship program. Currently enrolled in the Nutrition and Dietetics program at the University of
North Florida, I am set to achieve my Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics in May of 2023.
From the very beginning of my undergraduate journey, the MS/Dietetic Internship program
at UNF has consistently remained my top choice. My initial exposure to the world of dietetics
occurred while supporting a family member's recovery from a serious injury. Witnessing procedures
such as tube-feeding and dialysis left a profound impact on me and sparked my fascination with
nutrition and dietetics. This experience instilled in me a strong desire to work within a clinical
setting, with a particular interest in renal dietetics, though I remain open to exploring all facets of the
field.
My service as an Airmen in the United States Air Force emphasized the critical importance
of nutrition in maintaining optimal physical health. This period of my life underscored the pivotal
role nutrition plays in overall well-being. My short-term goal is to graduate in the spring with my
Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics and subsequently enroll in your internship program
the following year. The MS/Dietetic Internship at UNF interests me due to its pronounced clinical
focus and the comprehensive array of rotations it offers. Currently, I serve as a team leader for the
Wednesday shift of Meals on Wings. This rewarding experience has provided me with invaluable
insights into meal preparation for balanced diets, while also fostering meaningful connections within
the community. My work ethic is unwavering, and my pursuit of knowledge is insatiable, qualities
that have enabled me to maintain a perfect 4.0 GPA throughout my academic journey.
I firmly believe that my blend of experiences, academic achievements, and personal attributes
position me as an excellent candidate for your internship program. I am eager to demonstrate my
suitability for this opportunity through an interview. Thank you for considering my application. I
look forward to the possibility of contributing to the University of North Florida's MS/DI program
and continuing my journey in the field of nutrition and dietetics.

Thank you in advance,

Bailey Taylor
