Students will be able to - Revise vocabulary, language knowledge that Ss have learnt from
units 1-6
- Improve skills of doing test.
1.1. Vocabulary: words related to the topics “Hobby, Healthy living, Community service,
Music and Art, Food and Drink, A visit to school”
1.2. Grammar: verbs of liking, comparison, how many/ how much, a/an, some, any,
prepositions of place and time, present simple, past simple.

a. Activity 1: Circle the word in which the underlined part is pronounced differently.
Then listen, check and repeat.
* Objective: To help students review the pronunciation of the sounds learnt in Units 1 - 6
* Content: Choose the word whose underlined part is pronounced differently.
* Output: SS can pronounce correctly and fluently.
* Process:
- T writes the sounds /ə/ and /ɜː/; /t/, /d/ and /ɪd/; /f/ and /v/; /tʃ/ – /dʒ/
on the board.
- T writes one word containing the sound below each of them.
- T asks SS to read the words aloud.
- SS do the task by reading aloud each group and circling the odd one out.
- T can invite some pairs of students to read aloud.
- T check SS’ pronunciation ad give feedback.

*Objective: To help SS practise writing complete sentences from the given words.
* Content: Write complete sentences in present simple, past simple tense from the given

* Output: remember the tense forms and the structure of sentences in present simple, past
simple tense.
* Process:
- T asks SS to work individually to make a sentence.
- T allows students to share answers before discussing as a class.
- T can ask students to read aloud the full sentences and correct their pronunciation if
needed.

d. Activity 4: Prepositions of time and place


* Objective: To help students review prepositions of time and place
* Content: fill in the blanks with the correct prepositions “in, on, at”.
* Output: Ss can do it quickly, correctly
* Process:
- Teacher asks students to work independently to fill in the blanks with the correct
prepositions “in, on, at”.
- Students work individually to complete the task.
- Teacher allows students to share answers before discussing as a class.
- Teacher asks students to say the sentences aloud and makes sure they pronounce the
words and phrases correctly. Teacher can ask for translation to check their understanding.

* Objective: Help ss improve reading skill.
* Content: Read and answer questions
* Output: SS know how to get information from the text, know the way to answer Y/N and
WH question.
* Process: t asks ss to scan information in the text, get the main ideal, do the task and gives
the correct answer.

Students nowadays have more chances to take part in after school activities. Some students
stay at school and play such sports as football, badminton and table tennis. These sports
help them not only relax themselves but also improve their health. Other students attend
music drama clubs. They practice playing musical instruments or rehearse for a play.
