    THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: A presentation on ways to establish the ‘City of Peace’ project was held at the
    corporation main office here on Tuesday.

    The project aims at creating an environment which will give priority to the isolated sections of the society
    through efficient administration and by ensuring basic facilities. It aims at converting Trivandrum as one of the
    most liveable cities in the country.

    As per the official agenda presented by mayor Arya Rajendran, KILA proposed naming Trivandrum as the ‘City of
    Peace’ and a preliminary meeting was held in September. While the agenda was approved, BJP had mocked
    KILA for being an organization to accommodate retired staff and questioned the authority of KILA.
