The Learning Management System (LMS) has emerged as one of the preferred information and
communication technology solutions by which the higher education sector seeks to manage and support
the learning experience that it provides to its students. This study is limited to design,
implementation, test and validate the designed system of learning management system in
Computer Science Department, Adamawa State University, Mubi. The Research Design used for
this project is Software development life cycle which is the most important element in software
development. It depicts the necessary phases in software development. Software development life
cycle (SDLC) is a methodology for designing, building, and maintaining information and
industrial systems. This system allows only an administrator with valid credentials to log in to
the system and manage the systems users, and content. The administrator registers every user; a
teacher after login, he or she can create his or her class, add students to class, post
announcements, a student can login to the system, view class, download materials, download
assignments, submit assignments. As a result of the increase in student day by day in the
education sector, or the need and importance to obtain knowledge whenever needed has made it
