Dear Sir/Madam,

Kindly note that we will schedule your appointment upon presentation of the following
documents either in hard copy or soft copy emailed to iomnbomedical@iom.int
1. Copy of valid passport’s bio-data page for each family member
2. Your letter which has your case/file number

REQUIREMENTS ON THE EXAMINATION DAY/APPOINTMENT DATE

1. Original valid passport, 3 copies of the bio data page.
2. Your letter which has your case/file number, and the DS-260 form.
3. 2 recent passport size photos taken less than six months as per US photo specifications,
(dimensions: 2 inches X 2 inches on white/light grey background).
4. If you have previous vaccination, radiological or any other medical records, please bring
the originals plus photocopies with you on your appointment day. This applies also to
Repeat-medical cases
5. If you use spectacles or contact lenses, please come with them.
6. The entire medical examination process will take one day to complete and will begin as
stated on the appointment confirmation shared with you earlier. Kindly note you may spend
the whole day in the clinic. Please follow the customer care assistant and counseling section
advices on time of reporting to the clinic. Please keep time. (Refer to the time slot provided
on your appointment sheet).
PAYMENT OPTIONS:
1. Bank deposit at CBA Bank (Gigiri Branch Only) which is situated at the Village Market
Gigiri, 800 meters from the IOM gate to the back entrance of the Village Market.
Payment invoice will be issued by the Customer Care Assistant.

2. MPESA option is available at the IOM clinic. Details for payment by MPESA will be given
by the Customer Care Assistant during registration and screening at IOM.

7. Children between the ages of 2 years to below 15 years will require an IGRA test
(administered ONLY on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays) for which results
will be ready after 24-72 hours.
8. If the doctor does not require further tests after your exam, you will be given your CXR CD
on the same day while the medical report including your vaccination certificate will be sent
to the embassy the following day. In the event further tests are required, the doctors will
advise you when to collect your CXR CD. Kindly note you will be given your vaccination
certificate at the clinic after the screening and vaccination process.
9. Escort is not allowed unless the applicant is a minor or needs assistance in mobility and/or
other health conditions. In this case, only one escort is allowed.
10. Our Facility offers free of charge translations from and to most of the languages spoken in
the region and beyond, thus please do not bring an interpreter as they will not be allowed
in the compound.
11. We advise you book an appointment at least two weeks PRIOR to your appointment with
the embassy, if not earlier.
12. Females of childbearing age are strongly encouraged to reschedule their appointment if
they are in their menses as they are advised not to undergo the urine test during their
menses.
13. A full physical examination will be undertaken requiring the applicant to undress to
undergarments.

VENUE AND TIME:

 Our clinic is located in Gigiri, Gate No.78 on UN Crescent, next to the Swedish Embassy.
 We open from Monday to Thursday 8:00am – 4.30pm and Friday from 8am – 2pm except
on official and public holidays.
 For medical appointment bookings, kindly send the embassy request and copy of the
passport to iomnbomedical@iom.int

 For information concerning your medical appointment/ results or reports please call

 PLEASE NOTE THAT PARKING FACILITY WILL NOT BE PROVIDED INSIDE THE CLINIC. Please
therefore arrange beforehand to be dropped off at the Applicant’s Entrance of the Facility
and/or park your car at the nearby parking areas such as at the Village Market Gigiri.

IOM Kenya is now offering COVID-19 tests to all travelers effective 1 July 2021. IOM
laboratory is registered and authorized to test for RT-PCR COVID-19 by the Ministry of
Health and on board the Trusted Travel (TT) system under Panabois platform.

