In the advent of the new normal era entrepreneurship used to encourage people especially
the stakeholders who lost their jobs and be responsible to contribute in sustaining economic and
community development. Hence, this study aimed to develop entrepreneurial thinking from
teachers to parents, not only to promote alternative income generating ideas for the community
focusing on low cost-capital but using squash as main and innovative ingredient ; establish school
and community networking. This sought to determine the effects of Project CALABAZA in
developing and commoditizing new food products, processes and services. This is qualitative
descriptive research. Convenience sampling was employed due to limited face to face; Thirty
respondents were members of 4Ps and PTA Officers who actively involved in the pursuant of the
project CALABAZA. Video recordings of interviews were made to gather information from them.
There were 110 parents participated during Demo-Workshops conducted in April 2022. As
community, teachers exposed the parents in different products that could be made .Hence,
parent-respondents were able to make innovative products out of calabaza. Thematic analysis
was employed. The results implied that Project CALABAZA help the respondents to enhance
their entrepreneurial skills. The effects of this innovative project were manifested during
“CALABAZA Festival para sa BRIGADA” initiated by the parent-respondents from four Barangays
namely San Ignacio, San Gregorio, San Jose, and Concepcion; 50% of their income was donated
to our school. Parents were able to personalize and customize their own products and had an
additional income by selling these commodities; helped them to build connections, and
established networking. This study was conducted from March 2022- August 2022, primarily for
stakeholders of San Jose National High School. This was a heuristic study that engaged both
internal and external stakeholders to establish community networking through entrepreneurship.
