This unit will look at war and peace from a variety of perspectives, including historical, political,
social, and economic. We will be studying texts from a variety of authors, including the writings
of Sun Tzu, Thomas Hobbes, and Immanuel Kant. We will also be looking at current events and
their effects on war and peace.
The goal of this unit is to provide students with a greater understanding of the complexities of
war and peace. We will be looking at the causes and effects of both, as well as the various
ways in which peace can be achieved. By the end of this unit, students should be able to think
critically and discuss the various issues surrounding war and peace in a meaningful way.
These texts will provide us with a greater understanding of the concepts of war and peace, as
well as the different ways in which they can affect people and nations. We will also be looking
at current events, news articles, and other sources to better understand the complexities of war
and peace in the modern world.

By examining different texts and looking at current events, we can gain a better understanding
of war and peace and their impacts on people and nations. This knowledge will help us to think
critically and develop our own opinions about these topics. It will also help us to make informed
decisions about how to address and resolve conflicts in a peaceful manner.
