As we all know in the previous lessons tackle about 7 major decision-making process according to David

M Wolt. To recall it, 1. Is Diagnose problem, 2. Analyze environment 3. Develop viable alternatives 4.
Evaluate alternatives 5make a choice 6. implement decision 7. Evaluate and adapt decision results. All of
this are crucial in decision making process. But the question is will be based on my opinion, I think the
most critical process in decision making it’s always the first step and it applies in this kind of situation.
Diagnose Problem. Here are my insights why I do believe that this is the important among all of them.

1. Clearing the Path for Progress. How can you proceed to the next step if you don’t know or
diagnose the problems?
- Imagine embarking on a journey without understanding your destination. Diagnosing the
problem is akin to charting your course – you cannot proceed effectively without recognizing
the challenges at hand.
- A problem that gives you hindrance to operate something to reach goal.
- As what I remember last meeting that if you know the problem possible half of it can be
solve.
- Sometimes kasi we deal with a situation that we think there’s no problem but when you
realize there is a problem.
2. Problems as Decision Barriers. A problem is a barrier/hindrance to a decision or plan.
- We cannot make the goal if we didn’t solve the problem.
- We cannot attain the efficiency and effectiveness of our work if there still a problem.

3. Attaining Efficiency and Effectiveness. Efficiency and effectiveness Are the outcome of solving the
problems in terms of decision making.
- A problem that solved by can know what the problem is.
- The result could be a hundred percent been solved.
- Solving problems is at the core of decision-making's efficiency and effectiveness. Successful
resolution of problems hinges on our capacity to accurately identify them. This, in turn, leads
to comprehensive solutions and a higher likelihood of achieving a complete resolution.

I therefore conclude that diagnose the problem is the critical process in decision making and it helps to
have seamless flow of the decision we made.
