Title: Project Zero

Introduction:

It’s been two years since COVID-19, a deadly coronavirus, hit Wuhan in China.
The situation was not contained properly thus it had spread rapidly throughout the
whole world causing a pandemic. Years had passed but COVID-19 and its devastation
are still present. Philippines is just one of the countries who is still struggling to control
the COVID-19 situation but despite that, there are places in the country that seem to
improve from the COVID-19 infection. In the region of BARMM, Cotabato City is one of
the cities that shows improvement in controlling the cases of COVID-19 because of the
various implementation of rules and regulations set by the local government. Despite
this, everyone should not be complacent because the virus is still not eliminated and the
presence of the new variant of it, called Omicron, is a threat that should not be
disregarded. With this, the idea of Project Zero is created for promotion of zero case. It
is a project that aims to reduce the threat of COVID-19 to Cotabateños. The project will
help in lowering the cases even in small possible ways to combat the said virus.

Purpose:

The main purpose of Project Zero is to minimize the threat of COVID-19 in

Cotabato City by providing various solutions to the said problem. The solutions will be
discussed in the next section of this concept paper. The sub-purposes of this project are
to promote and to provide which means: to promote getting vaccination against the virus
to Cotabateños to protect themselves from it; and to provide convenient COVID-19
health kits that will be useful for everyone.

Description:
The project will be divided into two sections. These sections are the following:

Information Dissemination

This part of the project is all about informing everyone about all the things a
person should know about COVID-19 and promoting the action of getting vaccine
against it. Since it is not feasible to conduct a face-to-face seminar to everyone
especially to a big city like Cotabato City, the more suitable option for this is to conduct
an educational webinar, a seminar conducted through the aid of internet. Professionals
and experts in the field of medicine will be invited to share their knowledge. With the
help of the local government, the target audience for this one-time webinar is the
barangay officials in the city that will be responsible in disseminating the information
they will learn to their people. Through this webinar, the related latest information and
news about COVID-19 will be discussed. Even the misconceptions related to the topic
will be cleared. Lastly, the most important part of the webinar is the promotion of
vaccination. Getting vaccinated is the main protection one can get to prevent getting
infected from the virus thus the barangay officials should do their best in persuading
their people into vaccination.

Provision of Health Kits

Health kits for COVID-19 will be distributed to the 37 barangays of Cotabato City.
Each barangay will receive 1,000 health kits that contains facemasks, a face shield,
hand sanitizer, and alcohol per kit. In total, 37,000 kits will be provided that are
essentials in protection against the virus. With the assistance of the officials of each
barangay and volunteers, the proponent will distribute it to the people. Frontliners and
elderly people are prioritized first then the adults and children come second. This is to
ensure that the most prone to the virus are protected first and to ensure an organized
distribution of the health kits.
Support:

Since the project is an enormous one, financial support is greatly needed. To

complete Project Zero, a financial assistance ranging from P800,000 to P1,000,000 is
needed. This is to cover up the following: the essentials that should be bought for the
kits; the expenses for the conduct of the webinar; and other miscellaneous expenses
such as food and fare. Accepting financial aid from external factors are also highly
suggested to lessen the burden for the sponsors. Rest assured that documentation and
reports of the project is provided after the project is done.
