Project WASH: Washing and Sanitation Habits

Project Rationale
Because of the COVID-19 pandemic, all the communities need to have clean and
hygienic surroundings. Providing hand washing stations and alcohol dispensers in
different communities are the focus of the project. Moreover, those who are in the
poverty line or those who are in the “squatter areas” should have a temporary shelter
considering that they are in the area where they have a high chance of getting the virus.
Some shelters will be established using the unused establishments.

Project Goals
The goal/s of the project is to slow down or lessen the cases of COVID 19 by September
2020.

the virus and to contribute to the development of the “New Normal”. Moreover, the
project needs funds for the washing stations and alcohol dispensers. Moreover, funds
will also be needed for the temporary homes for those who are in the poverty line or
those who are in the squatter areas. Donations will also be a part of the project like the
necessities that will be given to those people who are in their temporary homes.

further help for the project implementation and to organize the desired goals of the
project.

Expected Project Impact

It is expected that the project will have a long-term impact to the community with
regards to sanitation and proper hygiene. It is expected that the project will help to the
elimination of the virus that can lead to a COVID free country. Lastly, it is expected that
some aspects of the project will become a part of the daily life of the community,
particularly the washing stations and alcohol dispensers installed in different
communities.

To help these enterprises to help them to pivot and to face the challenges of the “The
New Normal”, they should adapt to the sudden change brought by the COVID-19
situation. There will be limited consumers because of the social distancing and other
means about the “new normal”. The fact that not all people have enough money
especially those people whose jobs were affected by the pandemic; these enterprises
should lower their prices temporarily for the sake of these customers. Moreover, the
owners and the workers should practice proper sanitation every time they interact with
their products or with their consumers. With these simple things, they will be able to
adjust that will lead to the development and path to the “New Normal”
