The concept of rural development
• Rural development is the process that aims to develop
life in the countryside, improve its quality, and provide
economic support to individuals living in rural areas, as
well as rural development as making use of agricultural
land, through the development of natural resources that
help provide the basic needs of the rural population.

• Rural development is the building of a rural community

based on a set of foundations, which aims at rural growth
in many areas such as education, health care, and
infrastructure.

which depend on field visits, and statistical lists that

employment and unemployment rates, education rates,
and other ratios that reflect the nature of life in the
countryside.
Obstacles to rural development

• There should be cooperation between the government

and members of society to achieve development in order to
improve all social and economic conditions as well cultural
in society

• Therefore, we find that there is a disparity in the

ability to achieve development. The developed
countries have become what they are thanks to their
achievement of development in the best way, while in
the developing countries there are still obstacles that
limit their access to achieving the desired
development, which made them one of the lagging
countries in many areas. And these obstacles are as

human constraints
• It means the small number of specialists who
can carry out development management, as
many state institutions lack the presence of
competencies with a high level of experience in
the field of development, which leads to poor
management of development, and this problem
came as a result of the lack of institutions
concerned with qualifying individuals capable of
managing development properly correct and
required.
