The G20 summit in Bali has interesting facts that many people still don’t know about
it. The G20 is a multilateral cooperation forum consisting of 19 major countries and the
European Union (EU). The goal of the G20 is to achieve strong, sustainable, balanced and
inclusive global growth. Basically, the G20 was a meeting of Finance Ministers and Central
Bank Governors. But, since 2008, the G20 has presented Heads of State at Summits and in
2010 discussions on the development sector were also formed. There are some facts about
the G20 summit in Bali.

The first fact is that the G20 summit in Bali give positive impact on Indonesian
economy condition. This is proved by the increasing number of tourists in Bali from 1,200-
1,300 people to 3,000 people. Then, according to the Coordinating Minister for Maritime
Affairs Luhut Binsar Pandjaitan, for holding the G20 Bali Summit for one year, the Bali
presidency could contribute IDR 7.5 trillion. And the Minister of Tourism and Creative
Economy Sandiaga Uno said, the level of foreign exchange contributors had also increased to
reach IDR 20 trillion from the holding of the Bali G20 Summit.

The second fact is that the G20 summit in Bali uses Recover Together, Recover
Stronger as the theme. It means that Indonesia wants to invite the whole world to work hand
in hand, support each other to recover together and grow stronger and more sustainable. The
more integrated the global economy is, the success in handling a pandemic and economic
recovery in one country will not last long if it is not followed by the same success in other
countries.
 The third fact is that the G20 summit in Bali Attended by 17 president and state
leaders. Although 17 state leaders are confirmed to attend, 3 leaders of G20 member
countries will not attend this year's summit. Those missing were the leaders of Russia, Brazil
and Mexico. The G20 state leaders who have confirmed their presence are South Africa, the
United States, Saudi Arabia, Argentina, Australia, India, Britain, Italy, Japan, Germany,
Canada, South Korea, France, China, Turkey and the European Union. While the 3 heads of
state who were not present were Russian President Vladimir Putin, Brazilian President Jair
Bolsonaro, and Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador.

The last fact is that the G20 summit in Bali Has 3 main topics of discussion. That is
strengthening the global health architecture to cope with the current pandemic as well as to
prepare the world to have better responsiveness and capacity to deal with other health crises
in the future, the Indonesian presidency will focus on increasing digital skills and digital
literacy to ensure that digital transformation is inclusive and enjoyed by all countries, and in
order to ensure a sustainable and green future and address climate change in a real way, the
Indonesian Presidency encourages the energy transition towards new and renewable energy
by prioritizing energy security, accessibility and affordability.

Not only a big event, the G20 summit in Bali also has some interesting facts. Most of
these facts have had a positive impact on Indonesia's progress. It is hoped that the G20
Summit in Bali will be able to help Indonesia be more advanced and better by improving
several aspects such as the economy, politics, tourism and social aspect.
