energy, and activity levels. It also affects the ability to carry out day-to-day task. There are four basic types of bipolar
disorder. All of them involve clear changes in the mood, energy, and activity levels. These mood range, from periods of

depressive episodes. Less severe manic periods are known as hypomanic episodes.

same time.
Bipolar disorder can be present even when the mood swings are less extreme. For example, some people with bipolar
disorder experience hypomania. It is a less severe form of mania. During hypomania episode, an individual may feel very
good. The person may not feel that anything is wrong. However, family and friends may recognize the mood swings. Without

Most people live in the cities. As the result, the cities become crowded. In my opinion, living in a city
is not as fun as we think. There are some reasons which support my opinion.
First, living in the city can affect cardiovascular health. Because of larger populations, cities can have
higher levels of pollution, including nose pollution. This could be damaging to your health in the long-term. Too
much exposure to air pollution and city noise may cause damage to a person’s cardiovascular health.
Second, houses are more compact in urban areas which caused we have fewer green spaces. It
means you may not always be able to enjoy natural spaces. As we know that green areas help people to
recover faster from illness and stress.
The last reason is the higher cost of living. People typically think of when considering moving to a
city. Normal living expenses such as rent and utilities tend to be higher in big cities and you may not have
additional living expenses you wouldn’t have in the suburbs such as parking permits and laundry.
From those reasons, do you still think of moving to a crowded city?

3R - RECYCLING

Reduce, Reuse, Recycle – these three 'R' words are an important part of sustainable living, as they
help to cut down on the amount of waste we have to throw away.
It's Really simple!
1. Reduce the amount of waste
you produce.
2. Reuse items as much as you
can before replacing them.
3. Recycle items wherever
possible.
Using the 3 'R's also helps to
minimise the amount of space
needed for landfill sites, where waste
materials are disposed of.
Now, we are going to discuss about
Recycle deeply.

Recycling is a collection,
processing, and reuse of materials
that would otherwise be thrown
away. Materials ranging from
https://www.solarschools.net/knowledge-bank/sustainability/reduce-reuse-recycle precious metals to broken glass,
from old newspapers to plastic
spoons, can be recycled. The
recycling process reclaims the
original material and uses it in new products.

In general, using recycled materials to make new products costs less and requires less energy than using
new materials. Recycling can also reduce pollution, either by reducing the demand for high-pollution
alternatives or by minimizing the amount of pollution produced during the manufacturing process. Paper
products that can be recycled include cardboard containers, wrapping paper, and office paper. The most
commonly recycled paper product is newsprint.

In newspaper recycling, old newspapers are collected and searched for contaminants such as plastic bags
and aluminum foil. The paper goes to a processing plant where it is mixed with hot water and turned into
pulp in a machine that works much like a big kitchen blender. The pulp is screened and filtered to remove
smaller contaminants. The pulp then goes to a large vat where the ink separates from the paper fibers and
floats to the surface. The ink is skimmed off, dried and reused as ink or burned as boiler fuel. The cleaned
pulp is mixed with new wood fibers to be made into paper again.
Experts estimate the average office worker generates about 5 kg of wastepaper per month. Every ton of
paper that is recycled saves about 1.4 cu m (about 50 cu ft) of landfill space. One ton of recycled paper
saves 17 pulpwood trees (trees used to produce paper).

than using recycled materials.
Based on the writer’s opinion above, is it TRUE or FALSE?

Obesity is a medical condition in which excess body fat has accumulated to the extent that it may have an adverse
effect on health, leading to reduced life expectancy and/or increased health problems. Body mass index (BMI), a
measurement which compares weight and height, defines people as overweight (pre-obese) when their BMI is between 25
kg/m2 and 30 kg/m2, and obese when it is greater than 30 kg/m2.
Obesity increases the likelihood of various diseases, particularly heart disease, type 2 diabetes, breathing difficulties
during sleep, certain types of cancer, and osteoarthritis. Obesity is most commonly caused by a combination of excessive
dietary calories, lack of physical activity, and genetic susceptibility although a few cases are caused primarily by genes,
endocrine disorders, medications or psychiatric illness. On average obese people have a greater energy expenditure than
their thin counterparts due to the energy required to maintain an increased body mass.
The primary treatment for obesity are dieting and physical exercise. To supplement this, or in case of failure, anti-
obesity drugs may be taken to reduce appetite or inhibit fat absorption. In severe cases, surgery is performed or an
intragastric balloon is placed to reduce stomach volume and/or bowel length, leading to earlier satiation and reduced ability
to absorb nutrients from food.
Obesity is a leading preventable cause of death worldwide, with increasing prevalence in adult and children, and
authorities view it as one of the most serious public health problems of the 21 th century. Obesity is stigmatized in much of
the modern world (particularly in the Western world), though it was widely perceived as a symbol of wealth and fertility at
other times in history, and still is in some parts of the world.
