The primary purpose of educational research is to improve the knowledge it exists
towards the pedagogy and educational system.
2. Name the method which is mainly applicable in Educational Research.
The method mainly applicable in educational research is scientific method in order to
comprehend and accept learning acquired through these sources, we use certain
approaches which are as follows: empiricism, rationalism, and fideism.
3. Which approach is adopted in Educational Research?
Educational research relies on empirical evidence. This results from its largely scientific
approach. Educational research is objective and accurate because it measures verifiable
information. Quantitative research approach is more preferred because it is more scientific,
objective, fast , focused, and acceptable.
4. Name the places which can act as lab laboratories for conducting Education Research.
It uses classrooms, schools, colleges and the department of education as the laboratory
for conducting research.

Four basic disciplines form what is sometimes known as “the foundation of education”,
namely educational sociology, psychology, history and philosophy.

2. How is education an art?


Education is an art because it helps children to develop their motor skills, language skills,
social skills, decision-making, risk-taking, and inventiveness. It also teaches learners about
color, layout, perspective, and balance: all techniques that are necessary in presentations
(visual, digital) of academic work.

Education must be taken as a science since it is a systematic body of knowledge
accumulated through ages by observation and experiments. It has its own theories and laws for
arrangement and organization of educational activities.
4. Name the areas of Educational Research in addition to formal education.
Educational psychology, educational philosophy, methodology, class organization and
management, child development and other subjects are the fields of research in education.
