IDEAS:

The spectacled bear (Andean bear or South American bear) is one of the eight species of
bears that inhabit different corners of the world. Currently, some 18,000 individuals of this
species live in the wild in South America, its native region. Like many other animal species
that live in the amazingly biodiverse South America, spectacled bears sadly face an
unpredictable future. Dependent for their survival on both climatic conditions and the flora
and fauna of the Andean forests in which they live, the recent abrupt changes in these
environmental variables have caused an increase in the vulnerability of this species.

The Andean bear can be up to 2 m tall and weigh up to 130 kg, with males being larger than
females. They live in the tropical Andes to protect them, we must monitor education with
camera traps, work with communities and the environment.
The yellow-tailed woolly monkey is the largest endemic mammal in Peru. It lives mainly in
the territory of Amazonas and San Martín, but it has also been found crossing the borders
with Loreto, La Libertad and Huánuco. It is believed that it lives between 1,500 and 3,000
meters above sea level, more precisely in montane forests and cloud forests. A Neotropical
Primate Conservation (NPC) expedition spotted it in 2012 in Uchiza, San Martín, at 1,086
meters above sea level.
The yellow-tailed woolly monkey can measure up to 54 centimeters. Males are recognized
by their impressive golden pubic hair and females by their smaller, more delicate hairs. Eat
fruits, flowers, leaves and insects. The forests that are their habitat, promote the creation
of a biological corridor; control of illegal logging and land trafficking.
Species with a large body, a frontally rounded head, broad and flattened, and a hidden
eardrum. Its main characteristic of the Giant Titicaca Frog is its skin, which is soft and loose
in the shape of a sack and hangs in detached folds. Dorsally it is very glandular causing,
when the species is caught by hand, a very sticky mucous secretion, although not irritating.
The skin may be warty on the sides. The coloration of the back is variable in the different
individuals, from uniform light olive to dark with different designs that can vary from white
specks or dots to appearing grey, ventrally the color is lighter and more uniform and can be
white, light gray or orange as usual. It is observed in the Minor Lake. The anterior fingers
are free, and the posterior semi-united. The length of its body is greater than 140 mm and
its weight is around 150 g. Depending on the place of capture, the size is variable, having
found the largest specimens in the surroundings of Isla del Sol, weighing more than 380 g.
The giant titicaca frog has skin, which is soft and baggy in the shape of a sack and hangs in
detached folds. It lives in Lake Titicaca, lagoons and adjacent rivers. In order to protect this
species we must avoid contaminating its habitat.
