ACT. 7 Global Migration
ACT. 7 Global Migration
INTERVIEW. You will interview a former or a current Overseas Filipino Worker through face-to-face or
online. Draft your possible questions first. Make sure your questions will tackle concerns about the
factors or the reasons of their employment abroad. Three questions will do.
Country where you work: Japan No. of years /months: Almost 5 years.
Response: “Mas malaki kasi sahod dito.
dito.”
Question # 4. Do you want to go back to Philippines, or do you plan on settling here for good?
Summary of answers: Mr. Crisostomo chose to work abroad to provide for his family needs. He believes
that if he works abroad, he can provide and give a better life for his family. He also said that he wants to
get his wife and his child who’s probably below 18 years old since the process of getting them would be
easier.
Conclusion: I concluded that salary is more competent in other countries compared here in PH. Being
away with your family is quite hard but to live a better life, one must sacrifice. I believe Mr. Crisostomo’s
sacrifice will soon be rewarded as he is on the process of getting his wife and one of his children. The
benefits of living in Japan is also quite beautiful for him to consider settling there for good.
