Final Reflection

This has been a very long semester for me just because it has been one where I’ve basically been

busy every single day and did not get a lot of time to relax. But after all the work I’ve done in

this class, I believe my work has greatly improved. I was never a super strong writer especially

when it came to writing serious things like memos or a white paper, but I think after this class as

my work may be far from perfect it has improved. I am able to write more professionally now

especially in terms of how to write memos or emails in a business setting and the tips to make

writing those types of communications easier and make them sound better. I think these skills

will help me in the future for any jobs I might have especially with the communications skillset I

have gotten.

When I started this course my goal as it normally it was to pass. This changed once the coarse

started because at first, I figured I would be able to write a professional email, memo, research

paper it’s probably not that hard or not that much goes into it. I was wrong and soon discovered

that a lot more goes into these writing styles than I originally thought. There are a lot of format

choices and tips to better get points across without compromising writing. So, my only goal of

just passing became wanting to learn as much as I could about this subject. I never had those

sorts of class before, the only ones I ever had were just regular English classes with the basic

“this is how you write and essay” and all that this was the first kind of specialized English class I

have ever been in and I really learned a lot and enjoyed it.
This class was the first of its kind for me because of one the information being taught and the

way we were taught, like the assignments. Each assignment was very creative and challenging

and forced me to one learn the way the project must have been done and two how to finally carry

out said project in a good way providing me with a great final product. Each of these projects we

had through the semester challenged me and pushed me into learning new skills whether it was a

new way to research or using a form of technology I never had been exposed to like the AR

project. Each assignment taught me something new and allowed me to gain new insights or new

resources like the portfolio I’m working on right now, If I ever wanted to make a website, I could

use that creator engine “Weebly”. I never knew that existed before, I always assumed creating

websites was expensive and needed code3ing and all this other stuff but all it takes is a website.

After all that, though I think the project, I am most proud of is the instructions packet. I liked this

project because I enjoyed doing it and I believe I did good on it. I do need to edit it a little bit,

but I think overall I knew exactly what I was trying to do and how to do it and after the revisions

I made that project will be perfect. I really enjoyed this class and had a lot of fun this semester.
