Cleaning:
In case of a machine stop (for more than 60 minutes) the
coating unit has to be cleaned with solvents/plasticizer-

cleaning. The same cleaning procedure has to follow at the
end of the run.
Curing:
The laminates may be rewound and slit after 1 to 2days.

duplex production. Complete curing i. e. total resistance to
severe environments will be achieved after 7 to 14 days of
storage at room temperature depending on film combination
and intended use of the laminates.
STORAGE
When stored in a dry and cool place in the original unopened
containers storage life is as follows. Once opened,
containers have to be closed tightly again and the material
should be consumed within a short period.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Film Requirements:
Film additives - particularly slip agent content in LDPE,
MDPE and CPP films - packed goods, printing inks,
pre-treatment and coating of films are of significant
importance to the intended use of the laminates and may
affect the performance properties either straight away or
later. Laminates of high slip containing films, CPA films and
white pigmented PE films bear the risk of migration of
monomeric MDI. This can cause negative influences on the
filling good and may lead to antiseal effects. Therefore,
practical laminating tests as well as checks on the
laminates are necessary before going into full scale
production. The deep draw properties of film/film laminates
have to be checked since oriented films (OPA, OPP) show a
tendency to tunnelling upon the influence of higher
temperatures. Upon use of a 2-component third generation
laminating adhesive (e.g. Liofol UR 7745 / Hardener UR
6075) or the products of the universal product range (e.g.
Liofol UR 7780 / Hardener UR 6080) the problems resulting
from the monomer migration can be avoided. Further
