Learning Log 5

In this week, my classmates and I have asynchronous session for Listening for General
Comunication 1 class. And I also learned by myself about “childhood”. In this chapter I
listened to audios from Collins English for Life number 008-009. From the audio number
008, I heard about some people talk aabout their childhood memories. And then, I try to do
the task from the pdf. I should number the pictures in the order I hear them. After that, I listen
again, to know about what expressions do they use for talking about their childhood. In the
next part, I hear the 009 audio that talk about Patrick childhood memories. After listened to
that, I try to answer the questions in part B.

During listened to the audio, I have a similar problems as always. That is I can hear their
voices clearly, I still can not get the point about what they need to say. Sometimes, I did not
know some words, because they talk too fast. And I just trying to connect the words that I
have heard become one. For the reflection, I will learn more about listening practice,
especially in British accent. And, also learn about the pronounciation of the words. Maybe, if
I learn about the pronounciation of the words, it will be easier for me to understand what the
things that the speakers say. I will do my best!
