How to get a good academic writing level

1/ Prewrite your text to get ideas

2/ Organize your ideas by making an outline (organizing them into order)
3/ Write a ROUGH DRAFT of your text focusing on paragraph structure
● Make sure that you have a good and clear topic sentence
● Write several supporting sentences. Include some specific examples.
● End with a good concluding sentence
4/ Improve your rough draft
● Improve vocabulary and rewrite your sentences so that they connect and
make sense.
5/ Write a final copy. Hand in your rough draft, your second draft, your final copy, and
the page containing the two editing worksheets. Your teacher may also ask you to
hand in your prewriting paper.
