STAGE 1-PLANNING

The planning stage

The prewriting stage gathers ideas and refines them
before beginning formal writing.
It also involves brainstorming.

STAGE 2 - DRAFTING

Recording ideas on paper

Jotting down words, sentences, and paragraphs

will be changed
1st draft is for the writer not the reader
Spelling and grammar are not a concern

STAGE 3- REVISING/EDITING

Revising the draft version of your paper

Fixing any grammar mistakes

Reorganizing paragraphs
Make changes in vocabulary and spelling
Make changes in spelling
Teachers can model revisions
