Process Writing is an approach to teaching

What is the writing that allows the teacher and the

students to go through the process of
producinga text together. In process writing,

process students have the chance to think about what

they are going to write, produce drafts, revise,
edit, and give and receive feedback on

writing?
theirwork before coming up with the final
version of the text. A process approach to
writing contrasts with aproductapproach,
where the main idea is to reproduce a model
text.

Editing
Prewriting is the first step in writing
process. Sometimes, the student has a
trouble to think about what they
want to write first. In prewriting, the
paper has some techniques to help
these problems to get a topic to write.
According to (Zemach & Lisa, 2005),

Pre-Writing before you begin writing, you decide

what you are going towrite about.
Then you plan what you are going to
write. This proces is called pre-
writing.
In this stage, learners compose the first draft
2 of their texts. As students will be given the
chance to revise and edit their texts later,

Writing
accuracy of language, punctuation and
vocabulary is not essential at this point.
Composing the text can be done individually
or collaboratively -learners can be given the
chance to choose, according to their
preference.

Revising
Revising step arrange the sentences correctly. The
students
focus on grammar. The students can adding, delete
or arranging the
sentences by sentences. Revising focus on the
coherence sentences between main idea and
supporting idea
The Example

Editing
After writing several drafts, it is time to
proofread, check grammar,
spelling and punctuation or editing. Again,
encouraging peer help and getting
students to read each other's work might be
useful.
