GURMAN: Good morning everyone we are group one and we will be discussing about hand sewing
machine. What is a hand sewing machine, a hand sewing machine is a type of machine controlled by
hand. It is very common in us because it affordable, readily available in shops, and is to transport.

Manreet: Hands are used to operate hand sewing machines. It indicates that the seamstress turns the
handwheel with her or his hand to sew a piece of fabric. You can run a hand sewing machine at a very
low speed.

Sophia: Handheld sewing machines are perfect for making quick repairs on the go. If you have a tear in
your clothing or a loose seam, a handheld sewing machine can help you fix the problem quickly and
easily.

Keance: Hey amitoj did you know using a hand sewing machine improves coordination?

Amitoj: oh really? Can you tell me about it?

Keance: When you sit down to sew by hand, your mind and fingers need to work in tandem. This is good
for everyone but is an especially productive way to help kids develop fine motor skills. Hand sewing can
also help older adults stay both mentally and physically agile.

Jasleen: Hey jasmine have you ever wondered why is it easier to work a hand sewing machine?

Jasmine: No can you tell me why

Jasleen: Well, its because its Better for Delicate Fabrics. Some fabrics are just better sewn by hand. If
they're prone to stretching or warping, excessive fraying or bunching, it's probably a good idea to spare
yourself the hassle of wrestling your sewing machine into submission and stitching the fabric by hand.

*STOP*

Gurman: Amitoj do you want to start with the first question.

Amitoj: Sure, why not. For the first question can any one tell me what is hand sewing machine in your
own words?

*answer*

Amitoj: Nice job, Jasmine do you want to do the second question.

Jasmine: well here comes the second one. Can some one explain why is a hand sewing machine
beneficial?

*answer*

Jasmine : Nice one, Gurman do you want to do the third one.

Gurman: Of course. Now can anybody tell me How is a hand sewing machine controlled?

*answer*

Gurman: Well done everyone, It looks like all of you were attentive so now lets move on further. Lets
talk about the basic stitches that a hand sewing machine can make.

Sophia: Back stich- back stitch is the strongest hand stitch for seams and only takes a little longer to do
than the running stitch. It can also be used for solid borders for embroidery.

Manreet: Running stich- a running stitch, is a simple, basic embroidery stitch that involves creating a
series of straight stitches along a designated line or shape. It's formed by inserting the needle in and out
of the fabric, creating a continuous line of stitches.

Jasmine: Zig-zag stich - zig-zag chain stitch is a variation on a chain stitch, except that each loop is made
at an angle to the last one in order to create a zig-zag line. Also known as: vandyke chain stitch.

Jasleen: Cross stitching- is a type of counted embroidery that uses little crosses or 'x's to create a tiled
pattern or design. Cross stitching was traditionally used for decorating household items such as
tablecloths, dishcloths, or table linens.

Keance: Can someone tell us, in your opinion, which stich is easy and which is hard? And explain why?

*answer*

Keance: does anybody want to ask another question?

Amitoj: I want to. Can someone tell me the difference between back stich and cross stich

*answer*

Amitoj: well done everyone
