Georgia Association of Educators

The Georgia Association of Educators (GAE) is Georgia's premier professional

association for public school employees. We are a member-led organization supporting students
and educators in Georgia's public schools through grassroots organizing, legislative advocacy,
and legal action. Candidates who successfully complete a bachelor's degree, a teacher
preparation program, and the Pre-Service requirements will be eligible for an Induction
certificate for beginning teachers. After three years of successful teaching, candidates will
become eligible to apply for a Professional teaching certificate. The Georgia Association of
Teacher Educators (GATE) is a state organization and serves as an affiliate of the national
Association of Teacher Educators (ATE). ATE is the only national, individual membership
educational association which is solely committed to the improvement of teacher education. ATE
works diligently to improve education nationally, as GATE does in the state of Georgia. GATE
is dedicated to the improvement of teacher education with members that include educators from
Georgia's public and private universities and colleges and P-12 schools. Members of GATE
come from a variety of backgrounds and represent a broad spectrum of interests. GATE
members share a common belief that the quality of teacher education can be improved best
through the cooperative efforts of all concerned.

Professional Association of Georgia Educators

The Professional Association of Georgia Educators is the state's largest educator

association. Serving more than 95,000 educators, administrators, and school personnel, PAGE
fosters exceptional levels of professionalism in the classroom and within administrative ranks. A
professional association is an organization with members who work in or share an interest in a

specific job field or industry. Members of professional associations often meet regularly to
discuss upcoming news in their field or host events for other members to meet and network. A
professional association is an organization that aims to advance a certain industry, develop the
growth of professionals in the field, and provide a service to help their common community.
